“Fine hotel”

This hotel was fine. It was a bit far from center city, but was resonably priced and close to the metro. The directions to the hotel from metro were a bit confusing so I took the long way there. Once I found it, back and forth to metro station was easy. The room was nice and clean. The bed was nice and I enjoyed having a balcony. Wifi was expensive. Free breakfast was nice and the staff was friendly and helpful.

Wonderful hotel! Very big rooms, with kitchen and balcony. Clean and quiet too. Breakfast was varied ( if you get there early ) and delicious. The restaurant has got a delightful atmosphere, decorated as a little boat. Nice staff, especially a receptionist who spoke good Spanish. In the lobby, you can have a free drink ( coffee, tea or juice ) and a croissant. Close to metro station Maciachini, but it is better to ask at the reception for the shortest way. There is also a Lidl supermarket nearby, where you can buy food. Pay attention, the kitchen does not have any cutlery or dishes. Milan was gorgeous ( also because of this hotel ) and we are going to come back soon.

You are in the slums of Milan if you stay here. Think of passed out homeless people on the park bench that is just behind the hotel. I didn't find it safe for my wife to be out alone in this area. The hotel itself is actually quite nice. We got a kitchenette with a descent size room (keeping in mind that it is Italy and every room is small). The front desk people are very helpful and organized. Descent weight room as there is a universal and a few cardio pieces.

The location of the hotel is not the best, although the Metro is not too far away (about 10-15 minutes on foot). Air con was not great, but just about working. Window shutters were not working. Price was fantastic though.

We were overall happy just would have been nice if there was coffee tea facility provided in our room. Was close walking distance to train station.

Our room/suite was clean, spacious and well fitted out with tiled floors, fully working over-bath shower, plenty of wardrobe and drawer space, and a large balcony - more like an apartment than a hotel room. Contrary to other reviews we didn't see any signs of shabbiness or decay (apart from crumbling concrete on the outside of the balcony).
As mentioned elsewhere there was no kitchen equipment/utensils at all (just cooker, fridge, freezer, microwave, sink). My advice - if there's anything you think you will need (kettle, cups, shower cap), don't rely on the hotel to provide it (and don't believe what they say), just take it with you.
The location was fine, a few minutes from the metro (don't take the shortcut through the park after dark though, but the streets felt safe at night). Nice restaurant opposite, nice steakhouse down the road and Lidl just a few minutes away.
We booked direct with the hotel which was cheaper than the main booking sites, so it's worth checking out before you book. Excellent value at half the price of a similar hotel in the centre, and only 3 euros for a 1 day metro pass.
Free parking was available at the hotel and in the surrounding streets, there was also a pay car park (underground) at the hotel.
The breakfast was adequate with a small selection of each type of international breakfast, and fresh coffee (you have to ask for it). The man in charge of breakfast service was lovely, very helpful.

Room Tip: Check out the prices for booking direct with hotel

Although not in the centre, it was only five minutes from the metro (Linea A) which was seven stops from the Duomo. The room was spacious complete with small kitchen (though there was nothing to cook with, not even a cup and saucer!). Breakfast was good with a mixture of hot and cold food and typical sweet pastries. They even made capuccinos and espressos to order. Almost opposite was a pizzeria 'Ti Ricordi', very reasonable price and good food where they gave us a 10% discount because we were staying at the hotel. Also, not far away, was the Beda House, a fascinating pub/bar type place with a garden which was well worth popping into if only for a drink.

Room Tip: You had to pay for internet use.
