“you get what you pay for”
Reviewed 6 June 2014

We were a group of 4 spending 1 night in Hotel Brasil.

pluses: good price, convenient location (supermarket downstairs: 20 mins to the centre) and helpful staff
minuses: I'm allergic to dust mites and once I got into the room I couldn't stop sneezing. Toilet door can't be closed properly; luckily we're close friends or it can be quite embarrassing.

Conclusion: you get what you pay for

Budget place to spend one night, nothing more. Basic furniture, but rather new. We had a balcony (little one, but still), double bad, TV, Wi-Fi, breakfast (optional, €3). There is a very strange elevator (the smallest I've seen in my life. It was for max. 3 persons, so if you've got some baggage you need to travel several times). Personnel is quite polite and helpful, available 24/7. Pretty close to bus 60 stop (30 meters), which goes directly from Centrale FS to San Babila (close to Duomo). Have shover inside the room, only WC outside. Budget place like it should be.

Reviewed 15 April 2014

Stayed here in April 2014, very good value for budget conscious travellers. Situated on the 4th floor of an apartment block, bit of a dodgy lift, had to take 3 trips to get ourselves and our gear up. We had an en-suite room even though we had booked a room without. - no extra charge - had small balcony overlooking the street. Very centrally situated bus stop within 100 metres both ways to and from Centrale Station, although easy walk to the station. Very clean and staff friendly and helpful - buffet continental breakfast served for Euro 3. Would book there again.

Room Tip: Ask for double room en suite with balcony

The hotel occupies one floor of a typical tall Milan building. The value of money is the great positive factor for this hotel. Apart from that, the rooms and facilities are pretty decent. It is located about 2 km away from the Central Station and 3.5 km from the Duomo. Given the fact that Milan is a big city, you have to use public transport to get to the tourist attractions in any case, it doesn't hurt much. Breakfast is not included in the price, but you can get it by paying 3 EUR (its a pretty basic breakfast).

The room was nice and bed was comfortable.
wifi signal was very weak and we were not able to browse at all.
its 30 min walk to train station and buses and trams are frequent on this route.
overall it was good except the wifi signal.

My friend and I stayed here for several nights November 2008. We had a cheap deal on some flights and just wanted somewhere to rest our heads! As I recall we had a large and spacious room with two large beds and a private bathroom. There was central heating in the room along with a TV It's located just outside the very centre of Milan and there aren't many English speaking people in this area however this wasn't a problem and we still got by just fine! We got to where we wanted to go either on foot or by using the local underground network. If you want a nice City break with somewhere clean and quirky (you have got to try the lift haha) to crash then this is the place for you!!
