Arriving early evening to the surrounding area we felt quite unsafe and hoped that the hotel would be an improvement. Although it is cheap in comparison to other hotels we felt completely mislead about the hotel. Our room smelt of cigarettes and was very noisy, with no air conditioning and a poor bed that was totally uncomfortable. I definitely would not recommend this - we laughed about it at the time but this is not an enjoyable way to see Milan

Stayed here for 1 night after arriving in Milan, a reasonable hotel and a reasonable price for a double room, the room was clean and tidy and the owners were very helpful a bargain find. There was a little noise from the traffic but you have to expect that from being in central Milan.

We only wanted somewhere clean, cheap and quiet for an overnight stopover in Milan. Ca'Grande was a good choice for us. It is about 30 mins walk from Milano centrale, and a bit longer from the old town. It's on the main road and easy to find. Our room was small, basic, clean and quiet. A sign in the room offered air-conditioning at E10 a day and it was 34 deg outside, but the room was cool enough without air-con so I didn't pay. The window in our room opened, there was no noise from the road, nice clean sheets, comfortable hard-ish mattress; I slept well. The shower was nearby and it worked, but I had to ask for soap and search for towels. Breakfast was very good: toast, biscuits, croissants, yoghurt, juice, coffee and cereals, and a friendly man to serve it. There was plenty to eat and second helpings too. Not bad for E42 for 2 people.

The room it's self is quite nice, tidy and an okay size. However, the man that met us at the desk was not particularly rude, but not at all welcoming or helpful. Our arrival seemed as though it was an inconvenience too him, and once check in was completed, he simply waved in the general location of the room and returned to his TV show without any further directions. The temperature in Milan at our arrival time was 38*C and the room wasn't exactly much cooler. We paid the extra 10 euros a day for air con, only for it to be turned off during the day by the cleaners so the room was boiling again once we returned. The only thing that wasn't hot was the water. There seemed to be no hot water from the taps or the shower in the bathroom shared between 6 rooms that we had to queue for in the morning. Tolerable for 1 night, but I would definitely not recommend staying here any longer than that.

I was book by Booker.com , it was in top of “best offers” in Milan. Arriving at 21h
in reception Bangladesh person not find my reservation . I asking to show me some room, very shabby, old tired with strong smell of cigarette. Price 70 eur instead of 85 from booker.com
Hotel located in "red quarter" area and prostitutes use hotel for make service...

I run out, “best offer” was worst hotel that I remember on last 10 years.

Ca'Grande was a pleasure to come back to each day/evening. I felt very comfortable and at home in my simple, but tastefully decorated room: it had 3 paintings on the walls, each of quite different style but obviously selected with care. As one entered through my room door from the hall, one first stepped into a little foyer, with one door leading into the bathroom and the other into the room, which featured a very comfortable double bed. Thus, it felt a really self-contained unit. The hotel is located in a fabulously central area in the middle of Milan's vibrancy and has a little garden. A typically Italian breakfast is served each morning. All the staff were friendly. I thoroughly recommend this hotel, which I think is great value for money.

The hotel location is good , just a few hundred metres from the metro station. The room though was smelly like it was used by smokers and was supposed to be non smoking room. Breakfast was a joke , coffee and biscuits! Reasonable value at 35euros though , room was noisy as it is on the main road, but I had a early start the next day so no too much of a problem for me.
