“A good budget hotel”
Reviewed 22 September 2013

Having stayed here before I pretty well knew what to expect. It's one star, reasonably close to a Metro station (1Euro50 from Linate Airport!), fairly small, convenient for a market on Thursdays and a reasonable selection of restaurants within easy working distance.

The room was clean and the staff friendly. The was some noise from building work for which they apologised but since it didn't start until after 9 am and was not that loud it didn't trouble me.

The main drawback was that there was no proper lip on the shower base, the curtain wasn't sufficient to stop the toilet floor getting quite wet ; since the floor is tiled it could get quite slippery and felt rather dangerous (I broke a wrist recently so and am still very wary of slippery floors).

Most of the staff spoke much better English than I speak Italian so there was no difficulty. They did give me the bill on the last evening I was there, they also said that it could be paid the following morning.

All in all I was quite satisfied.

Firstly, I'd like to point out that, when writing the review below, I actually did consider that it was a cheap hotel.

Arrival: there is quite a parking problem in this area. We felt lucky that we got rid of the car after about 20 minutes of driving around. Hospitable reception (with great coffee), and we were wondering where the comments about terribly English-speaking staff were coming from.
Coming back the first night: almost no WiFi-reception (yes, I'm that guy to complain about that), and lots of noise after 10 PM. They actually did put up signs in the hallway to keep the noise down, but the staff did not maintain that (we are even pretty certain that it was actually the staff that caused all the noise).
First morning: did not wake up by alarm, but by noise from the hallway... The shower is very small and in certain aspects pretty dirty as well (and I must say I normally deal pretty well with average hygene). For example: there was this plastic (non-disposable) cup that had its bottom completely caked with toothpaste, along with a hair, after months of re-use.
Coming back the last night: time to pay. Or actually, this was kind of unkindly forced by a non-English speaking woman. When the first attempt of transaction failed, this lady insisted that it was because of my bank balance, and I can guarantee that there was enough on there. She even laughed at me about it... Luckily, a second try put her in her place. The last transaction they'll ever make, if it were up to me.

Simple and clean, friendly staff. Very good internet.
Quit noisy reception- and cleanig staff and thin walls,
so one would like to ask for a room in the far end from the reception.
Breakfast consists of a piece of cake and Cappuchino
but there are nice bars and restaurants closely nearby.
They were even open, though most Milanese people are on holiday in august.

This was a very good budget hotel, located in a very convenient location. We arrived early around 11am and were told that our room was ready so it was good to be able to drop off our bags and get ourselves ready after a busy morning of travel. The hotel is close to a metro station and so it is very easy to get into the centre of the city and to all the main attractions. It was in a safe part of town, even when returning late at night. We had a room with a private bathroom and it was large and very clean. It had a much needed fan in and a TV. The staff were very friendly and it was good value for money.

Very friendly staff, and do not worry about sharing a toilet with anyone as they were always kept spotless during our 3 night stay. I also never had to wait to use the toilet, despite the hotel being full, as there were two to choose from, so it was worth saving a bit of money to share one. Our room was basic but clean, and considering that it was cheap, I cannot complain. We had a TV and a fan to keep it cool ( a must in Summer ), and a sink, bidet and shower in the room. The shower was a little strange - I have never come across a shower cubicle in the corner of a bedroom before, or a bidet for that matter, but it was functional (if a little small) and the room was not damp. The neighbourhood is nice enough, and the hotel is about a 5 minute walk from a metro stop making it easy to get to the centre. We heard some noise as rooms around us checked out early in the morning, but that is quite unavoidable and not a huge inconvenience. All in all, great value for money and lovely staff. A good idea if you're travelling on a budget.

Very good deal, great price and nice room.
The room has a.c., nice bed and good bathroom.
The attendants are very nice, specially Nadia, but the others doesn't speak english. The hotel it's a little far from downtown, but close to the metro station in a nice neighborhood. The breakfeast is at the recepcion, a cup of coffee with a slice of chocolate cake. If you want a cheap, clean, and cute hotel with nice people, it's a good choice!

Good service and friendly staffs, but the person in charge cannot speak in English. Room and toilet is clean but lights are a bit too dimmed. Location is good as near Gambara station which directly goes to Duomo (the main attraction area) This is just nice for a short stay.
