“Week in Milano”
Reviewed 15 November 2013

Initially, the location may seem a little daunting but its actually really ideal as you are far enough from the Duomo but near enough to get there and back. I arrived Monday evening, and was warmly greeted and checked in by Laura. The whole process was quick and easy, and my bags were taken to my suite on the 8th floor, whilst the Duty Hotel Manager invited me to join him for a drink and some light bites at the bar.

I was in suite 808, which overlooked the park, the outside courtyard and the swimming pool. Space wise, very big, with a small sitting room, work desk and separate WC. The bedroom was located behind, with sliding doors to the sitting room. The bathroom was huge, big wash basin, deep bath, toilet & bidet and best of all - a walk in rain shower! Well, this was the first thing I tried out and it was lovely!

The bedroom and sitting room have a flat screen TV, with mini bar, safe and tea/coffee making facilities in the latter.

The bed was very comfy, plenty of pillows and cushions, and the mattress soft but firm.

Both Continental & English breakfast was served in Filini, the hotel's restaurant. Fresh, hot, with a generous selection of food and beverages.

Villapizzone train station on the S5 & S6 lines from Repubblica or Tram #12, right outside the road leading to the hotel. During the day, I took the tram to Duomo, which is about 30 mins, and far more enjoyable if you want to see what's around.

I bought the Milano Card online, and picked it up at Linate airport. It gives you unlimited travel on the train, bus, tram all over the network - www.milanocard.it

There are other benefits/discounts with this card, but you will get all the info from their website.

They were some stains/spots on the carpet and the wall near the work desk but that did not spoil my stay in any way at all. Minor issues which can be fixed quickly.

If you fancy a late night snack, come out of the hotel, walk to the junction and turn right. Walk down about 5 mins and you will see a Turkish Kebab restaurant on your left, across the tram tracks. One of the best lamb kebab's I've eaten!!!

I would stay here again if I visited Milan again, and have nothing negative to say about this hotel.

Probably the best value for money hotel in Milan. Fantastic Bfast spread, high quality good tasting. The property has their own in house basement parking which is great for those who hav a car. Location is in a nice quiet neighborhood.

The suite was decent sized, but unfortunately 20% of the space is bathroom, which was fine but a waste of space, and the rest of the space was cluttered with so much furniture.

Went down to use the pool one day only to find out they ran out of towels and didn't refill them, so pretty much ended up walking up to the room dripping wet.

Also house keeping fails to refill the coffee puck in the nespresso machine.

Room Tip: always go for the bigger room, like a suite, if your with family, all the other rooms are tiny

Only stayed for a couple of days but what a lovely place, great friendly staff that could not do enough for you. Didn't have an evening meal in the restaurant (ate out) but had breakfast in the Filni restaurant and the selection and quality of food was second to none, the little bar just left of reception is a great place to chill out before heading out on the town. I stayed on the third floor in a room with two double beds and a selection of pillows with a bathroom and a fantastic shower. I was in town visiting a motorcycle show in the Fieramilano Rho fairground and found this hotel a great base, so if you're in the area give it a go, I can recommend it.

Stayed for 2 nights at the Radisson. Laura checked us in without any hiccups. She explained the WiFi access, how to access the centre with Tram #12, and gave us a map of Milan City.

We were in room 543 and the view was if the courtyard. Two single beds and spacious bathrooms. Bathroom has a toilet, bidet, tub, and separate glass shower. Room in General was clean but it seemed a bit tired with stains on the carpet and scuffs on the wall in certain areas.

If you rent a car, you can park for free on the street but good luck finding a spot. Moreover the hotel is in a residential area and I wouldn't feel comfortable parking outside especially if you have a luxury vehicle. If you don't mind paying €20/day plus €10/day tax, they program your room key to gain access to the garage. What I liked about it is you can self-park, no need to call in your car, wait, and give someone a tip each time.

No issues with WiFi. If you are not from Italy and have Apple products, there is a specific step to follow but Laura at the front desk helped.

Breakfast is very expansive. Beverages included bottled water, tomato juice, apple juice, and orange juice. You have to order espresso or cappuccino from the wait staff but it's included. They have a selection for everyone: bread-cake-pastry station, eggs(scrambled-hard boiled)-bacon-potato-sausage-chicken, yogurt varieties including musli, fruit(peeled kiwi-peach halves-pears), cereal with a variety of milk. In our view it was worth the room/breakfast fee.

The hotel is not within walking distance of anything. It's not near any tourist attractions but it is a Tram ride away from Duomo Milano. The tram is across the street.

Thank you to previous reviews for assisting me in selecting this hotel, I knew exactly what to expect

Room Tip: Stayed in a business room - excellent! Local restaurants were brilliant. Could not fault the room o...

The hotel has all the facilities you could wish for. Spacious bed- and bathroom, smooth check-in, no fast check-out like in other hotels, though. Breakfast will cost you €25! It takes you at least 30 minutes to get to the Duomo and about 20 minutes to go to Fiera Milano Rho. The area where the hotel is situated is a bit of a slum. Nevertheless, a quiet place for a good night sleep.

Although the hotel is distant from the city center, it's a clean, good service hotel.
Front dest check us in early since they had rooms available. Loved the decor of the room, had a beautiful view. Quite location, small shops just 15 minute walk which was great.
Excellent shower!
