“Few days in Milan”
Reviewed 31 July 2014

The hotel was perfect for our few days holiday in Milan. We arrived to see the Moda concert in San Siro and we decided to stay in Radisson because of quality and location. This was a good decision. Anyway the hotel and everything was convinient and confortable but the parking is a bit expensive.

Had another stay for five nights in July 2014.

Overall, for expensive Italy, the hotel offers still very good value. The hotel (four stars) has a nice luxurious feel. The rooms (in European standards) are big, the bathroom is large and stylish, housekeeping keeps things always spotless. You have access to a small gym and the pool, if you like. The bar looks cool. Air conditioning works great (cools things down!). The bed and the pillows are firm but super comfortable - I was actually waiting to crash in them after exhaustingly long day trips.

Excellent breakfast!

The only reason keeping me from giving this hotel an 'Excellent' rating is really still the location, which is a bit inconvenient, that's all. I also had a minor problem with the shower - the water temperature seemed a bit inconsistent (too hot, too cold...). I also didn't fully understand the need for the 250 EUR credit card deposit, because the room was fully prepaid already.

The location is especially a bit of a problem regarding dinner - you really do need to go "to town" for that - although there are some nice trattorias about 2km towards the centre, on Via MacMahon. The Porta Garibaldi area is also another easy option, it's a developing area with quite a few restaurants and the foodie wonderland that is EATALY.

The hotel restaurant ('Leonardo') is ok, but overpriced, as hotel restaurants usually are.

My suggestion is still that you skip the tram (at least on a daily basis) and try to learn to use the trains. The Villapizzone train station is within a short walking distance, and you can catch a Regionale train to Porta Garibaldi in 6 minutes. From there you can go pretty much anywhere in Milan using the various train options (including Malpensa!).

The hotel is situated Not too far from the centre of Milan this hotel is ideal for travellers who Prefer a more contemporary luxurious hotel. We only stayed overnight so did not manage to enjoy the fabulous roof top pool/spa area which was great. Also a lovely patio area with huge lounging sofas and chairs perfect for a sunny Milan day.
The room was immaculate, spacious and the bathroom excellent with a huge walk in shower and double bath. Minibar and coffee also available in the rooms. The public areas again kept immaculate and modern, and the staff efficient and friendly. Breakfast was excellent, a wide selection of hot, cold, fruits, bread, beverages etc and very popular with local business people too. All in all a great stay,

Beware of this hotel if you are looking for a hotel next to major shopping area and the town center. It is marketed as a hotel close to both of these, but in actuality, it is close to the metro station that will take you to these places in about 10 to 15 minutes. Hotel is just OK. Showers are difficult to maneuver without flooding the entire bathroom. This appears to have been an ongoing problem, as evidenced by the cumulative water damage witnessed in both rooms that we stayed in.

Room Tip: Would not recommend staying here

Prefer a more contemporary luxurious hotel. Unfortunately we only stayed overnight en route to Assisi so did not manage to enjoy the fabulous roof top pool/spa area which was great. Also a lovely patio area with huge lounging sofas and chairs perfect for a sunny Milan day. The room was immaculate, spacious and the bathroom excellent with a huge walk in shower and double bath. Minibar and coffee also available in the rooms. The food in the evening was a little disappointing not sure if it was because we were part of a tour but I found the portions a little on the small size and although I appreciate modern cuisine would have preferred a larger portion and also a choice of menu. The public areas again kept immaculate and modern, and the staff efficient and friendly. Breakfast was excellent, a wide selection of hot, cold, fruits, bread, beverages etc and very popular with local business people too. All in all a great stay, wished had been here for longer.

No, you do not have a room with an amazing view but the room is large, comfortable & away from the hustle and bustle of the city, a short walk (no need to go to the tram stop just wait on the corner and they will pick you up or drop you) & you are on a tram taking you to the City centre or virtually anywhere for Euro 4.50 per day. The restaurant nearby is to die for but that's another review, the hotel breakfast is faultless and you can sit outdoors. Bed is comfortable, internet connection clear with no dropout even in the lift, rain shower and bidet in bathroom so really good value for the price.

Nice hotel, good spacious rooms, tasteful breakfast, good facilities. 25 minutes away from Milano downtown by tram, very convenient connection.
Friendly and helpful staff nothing to complain about. This place has met our expectations. I recommended this place.
