Yes, hotel is quite far away from old town but when you enter it, you feel like you got into oasis. After shopping and walking during the day in hot day, you could dive into refreshing pool. Reception will explain everything you need, at restaurant during breakfast there was just wonderful girl (don't remember name) but very polite and nice. Hotel is really nice, very intresting design. Rooms OK, but bath is really large and so nice to shower in it. I would recommend it if you plan to stay in Milan.

We stayed in this hotell for two days. The rooms were in good condition and was realy big. The service was very good and the staff properly. However, one member of staff was happening to inspect our minibar when we were in our room. He wanted to know if we took something from the minibar and wanted to enter the room and open the mini bar. This was realy strange behavior !?...

The hotel also had a good fitness center with pool, sauna and Jacuzzi (that did not work when we was there). It was easy to parkering the car outside the hotell and that was free. You can also buy traincard from the recepetion and that is a realy good service. Whit the train it takes 20 minutes to central Milan.

We really enjoyed our short break in Milan and were glad we choose this hotel. The staff were all extremely polite, friendly and helpful. The hotel itself is clean, stylish and very quiet which suited us. We had a meal at the hotel on the 1st evening and it was very nice but no suprise it is overpriced and charging 19 Euros for a Bottle of Peroni and a Malibu and Pineapple is criminal. There is a smashing restaurant called l'immagine on Via Varesina which is about 5 minutes walk and any restaurant which leaves fizzy cola bottles and monkey nuts on the table is good in my book, great experience. We didn't have breakfast so can't comment, there is a great little cafe/bar just round the corner also on Via Varesina which served Paninis, Brioche and coffee for 2 of us for about 7 Euros. The swimming pool was freezing on the Sunday but strangely warmed up for the rest of the week, not sure why each changing room has it's own jacuzzi, steam and sauna meaning you can't use the facilities as a couple. The Bedroom was large with good air con and comfy bed, shame TV couldn't have some more English speaking channels other than BBC world service. Lovely bathroom with a great shower and large bath. As for it's distance from the City Centre, it really isn't that far, we never used the tram preferring a 5 minute walk to the Villapizzone train station, trains run regularly into the centre and this links well with the metro. From leaving the hotel to standing outside Duomo will take no more than 30 minutes. One thing which did catch us out was arriving by train at Bovisa station very hot and bothered expecting to jump in a Taxi to the hotel. It was Sunday afternoon so not a taxi in site and no other form of transport available so we did have a 20 minute walk from this station to the hotel. Fine for a young fit couple but would have been tough for a family or elderly people. Fingers crossed Spurs draw AC or INTER in the Champions league so we have an excuse to return.

Currently staying in this hotel. I chose Radisson Blu Milan upon the reviews on Tripadvisor and definitely no regret! Very modern, stylish design hotel. Easy to reach by car from Germany / Switzerland. Private parking 15 EUR per day is OK, breakfast excellent, room is big. Very good spa / gym area with nice pool and jacuzzi. Milan Center is reachable by tram no. 12 (the stop is few steps from hotel) but journey takes approx. 25 minutes. Taxi from Milan Dome / shopping district to the hotel cost 11.50 EUR. High speed internet (WiFi in room or cable) is free of charge! BEST value for money (for me so far!).

We stayed with my husband for 3 days, the rooms are excellent, the decoration of the hotel very nice, the location in our case very good (easy to park, not in the center of Milan). The breakfast is ok, the staff however is very unorganized and inpolite. First of all, the toilet basket was not empty when we entered the room. The next day we asked for slippers since they were not available at the room but they never sent us. The second day at the breakfast they brought us two bills of 50euros each (also for the first day!!)for the breakfast and claimed that breakfast was not included in the price. I had to go to the reception with my reservation form and they admited their mistake. But especially the lady in the breakfast entrance was very inpolite with the whole situation...Generally I liked the hotel and find it a value for money hotel, but certainly they have to improve the quality of staff!

We visited Radisson Blu in mid June 2010. Here are two key reasons why we selected this hotel from all properties, review on Tripadvisor: 1) unlimited good speed FREE Wifi (troubles with it in almost all Milan hotels regardless price) 2) News about recent renovation.

My own experience was more than pleasant: staff was welcoming, helpful and responsive, rooms were bright, super clean and large (35 sqm for B&B, 43 sqm for business suite!), including large bathroom, hall and balcony in every room.

On weekends they have lower prices and for some room categories you can get 10% discount for staying 3 nights and more in a row (see their own website for it).

Breakfast is superb, with wide selection of fresh and canned fruits, diary products, hot dishes, cheeses, pastry, tea and coffee, served by smiling waiters. On sunny days you can relax on sofa on open terrace in inner yard. Swimming pool, fitness center and SPA center are available from 7 a.m. to 10 p.m. (no people usually there, so enjoy yourself)

Concluding this review I would like to mention two points that can be regarded "negative":
1) Longer distance from city center - was absolutely not a problem because 50 meters from hotel is a stop of a tram that takes you to center in less than 20 minutes. Also nearby (300-400 m) from hotel is Villapizzione metro station (blue line) that gives you option to reach Central Station in only 4 stops (1 intersection on the way) and Pta Venezia (start of Corso Buenos Aires) also in 4 stops (w/o intersections). Metro is working till 1 p.m. at night, so you will definetely reach hotel even if you decide not to take a taxi.

2) Hotel is rather quiet, so no nightlife can be expected on site unless you are in big company yourself - but for business traveller this is what is really needed - ability to relax at the place of your stay after a busy day.

Even though hotel is located a bit far from center, it turned out that its much easier to get to Malpensa airport from hotel: just call a taxi and it will take you to Bovisa Train Station (5 minutes, about 10 Euro or less), where Malpensa Express train rides to airport every 30 minutes (30 min ride). If you will be as lucky as we were to catch arriving train, all trip to airport from hotel door(!) will take only 40 minutes without any fears about traffic jams and stuff!

Conclusion: for those, who plan to stay 1 night this hotel s a bit far, but for 3-7 days trip in Milan - its a definite choice. No other hotels for us in Milan for the next several years.

P.S. On sunday there was no internet, while I really needed it. After several calls checking when it will be fixed (in Italy everybody rest on weekends so it was normal to have this issue fixed on Monday morning) receptionist offered free massage in hotel SPA center as compensation - this is what one can definetely call a guest satisfaction policy.
P.P.S Europcar car leasing office is 10 minutes by feet from hotel (lazy to check the street name), so its very convenient in terms of selecting car pickup location other than Malpensa Aiport. Please just note that it is closed on Sundays.

Hope this review will be useful for you.

The Radisson Blu Hotel in Milan is very stylish, newly renovated. The rooms are very beautiful and clean. The staff is really nice and helpful.
There is a tram stop just outside the hotel, the trip takes about 20-30 minutes to Duomo.
I could recommend this hotel if you don´t mind that it is far from the centre. If you are travelling with a car, it is very easy to reach from the autostradas.
