“Great seafood”
Reviewed 23 October 2012

It's not easy to get a table in this restaurant if you don't book in advance. But when you make it, it's definitely worth it. Nice interiors, resembling Italian countryside houses.
Seafood is great. I had a branzino with artichokes that was quite an experience.
On top of this, the owners are fun and the prices are fair.
One of the best places in Milan for seafood.

“One of the Best”
Reviewed 3 August 2012

It is always interesting to read the reviews of the restaurant you have just eaten in, sometimes it seems as if it is a different place altogether, but hey that's what reviews are about, it's how you perceive and enjoy a place that you wish to share with others. We went there for lunch.

This really is a lovely friendly establishment which serves some of the best and freshest fish in a city famous for its fish restaurants. There is a great buzz as you walk in and it is full of mostly local businessmen who look as though they come here every day I always find this very comforting.

The first thing you notice is a huge loaf of bread on every table, this needs to be handled carefully as it is easy to just keep munching on its lovely crisp crust and stuff oneself.

The waiter is very enthusiastic and almost completely incomprehensible but he laughs a lot, he is supervised by his colleague who is the order taker and we select the spaghetti vongole for the starter and the house speciality for the main.

The spaghetti is very al dente but full of delicious little clams. The main is listed as Lobster Catalan which just about everybody seems to be having, it comes on a huge plate and I have never seen so much lobster in my life it is accompanied by mounds of fresh tomatoes and red onions the whole in a delicious dressing which is where the bread comes in for the mopping up process.

We drank a Sardinian white which was not quite to my taste but that is no reflection on the wine it was also I thought a touch expensive for what it was.

The best part is the end of the meal where the Sardinian cheese and Mirto are served, the cheese is eaten as a lump in your hand and is delicious, I was not so keen on the Mirto.

A great eating experience not to be missed.

“Loved also by the locals (as me)!”
Reviewed 12 July 2012

I've been here several times and never disappointed.
For me, this is a place which has a very good mix of food quality, friendly staff, informal atmosphere and value for money.
Sardinian cheese and mirto (Sardinian liqueur) are offered at the end of the meal. It's quite hard to get a table if you haven't booked it in advance.
Looking forward to my next visit!

“Excellent - must book!”
Reviewed 28 June 2012 via mobile

Superb 'local' restaurant with fantastic fish. The lobster tomato and onion dish was to die for! We had to book 2 weeks in advance and when we went it was full of locals - always a good sign! Good staff, good wine and excellent value!
