I came back to Nu after a few years of absence, and I want to confirm the excellent impression I had back in 2003-2004, when it opened.
The ambiance is wonderful, and old lombardy house restored, with bricks well at the view, old bizarre lights, nice bamboo séparés at the big tables.
All perfectly studied to give a modern, genuine, chich, lombardian sushi ambiance.
Music is cool, people are cool.
Food is excellent, and prices do follow, of course!
However, this is one of the best sushi I ever had, in the many Japanese restaurants I visited. My only regret: I never tried the fusion restaurant upstairs! I cannot help but choosing the japanese, each time! :-)

The atmosphere is great, but the food is so so, and service is so fast it's rude. The sushi was okay, but the rest of the food was mediocre. My friend ordered teriyaki chicken and it was not good; she didn't eat more than a 1/4 of it. They brought our entire order (soups, sushi, rice, chicken, tea and wine in under 5 minutes - we didn't even have time to wash our hands. If this were a fast food restaurant, that might ok, but we paid 71euros and that included only 1 glass of wine.
I might go back but would only eat sushi and order things one at a time.

Went to Nu for the second time, on a Wednesday night. The whole place was fully booked and despite some time to wait until ordering, the service was good. Quality of food was also good - sashimi deserving a special mention. If slightly pricey, it stands out among many "giappo" in Milan that instead ride the wave of "sushi is cool" hence offering poor quality. Will go back again.

This restaurant is actually split in 2, Japanese on the ground floor, and Asian cuisine "fusion" on the first floor. I'm reviewing the Fusion part here.
The atmosphere is very nice: nice ambient music, low lighting, nice furniture.
The menu is quite extensive, including Chinese, Vietnamese, Thai and other dishes, and of course you can order from the menu of the Japanese section downstairs. Bottled beer only (Heineken, Asahi, Tsingdao).
Service is ok, usually good but sometimes a little slow. As in many Chinese-managed restaurants, sequence is random: forget to get what you ordered in that exact sequence (like you would expect e.g. in an Italian restaurant).
Prices are drifting towards the high end (a general trend), especially if you order Japanese (but the quality is really good).
No luxury, but this is a place where you might want to take a date to make a good impression ;-)
P.S. Having spent quite some time in China, I can confirm that the "Chinese" dishes are the "Italian-style Chinese" - don't take your Chinese guests to this restaurant, because they will be surely disappointed. Afaik, this does not apply to the Japanese dishes.

A stunning mix of Asian food, good wine and a great ambiance. Can be a bit pricy, but worth the extra
