A stay at Rostarius has just one drawback. It'll make everywhere else you stay pale by comparison. Operated by the pleasant, industrious and almost always available Elisabetta this B&B consists of a beautiful apartment housed in an ancient tower. It has a cozy sitting room/breakfast room and a huge bedroom complete with a circular staircase to a second floor sitting alcove and small library. Beautifully refurbished and decorated by Elisabetta who is also an architect in a style combining medieval and ultra modern features, it has all the comforts of home including free minibar, a small but not cramped modern bathroom and a pleasant outdoor area where you can sit and look out over the rooftops of Asti. It's within easy walking distance of all attractions in this pleasant medieval town's historic center. Breakfast is served in the room and is delicious and plentiful. Parking is free and very accessible. Elisabetta is ready and able to provide all sorts of information to make your stay exactly what you're looking for. The only real drawback is the 72 step climb to the unit. We are in our mid 60s and didn't find it overwhelming but an older person or one with physical limitations might.
