This is the only restaurant on the island and feels as if it has been here for centuries. Probably it has! Just below the Benedictine convent, it’s in a simply amazing spot looking across the lake, tremendously romantic, and understandably popular with young lovers.
Our table was on the terrace downstairs which also has a magnificent view. As vegetarians, we both chose the asparagus terrine followed by San Giulio house salad – nicely cooked and presented.
Our party was a surprise birthday party for a friend. The staff quickly entered into the spirit of it, and we were very grateful for the care they took to get everything right for us.
A privilege to eat here, and a memorable meal.
