We spent our last night in Northern Italy in this B&B.
The room & appartment are gorgeous : a XVIIIth century overlooking the wonderful piazza Savoia.
Our room was a bit noisy (traffic & people from the piazza) but nothing you won't cope with.

We drove to Turin from Chamonix (2.5 hrs max) on a spontaneous exploration and booked the big room (there's only one en-suite big room) for 1 night. When we got there we booked another night straight away. It was gorgeous!

This is a B&B with character! It is a lovely place to stay as a couple as it is simple but romantic and in a brilliant location, overlooking a fairly quiet square but under five minutes walk to lots of excellent restaurants and bars that are used by locals and travellers alike, of all ages.

Not your place if you want internet connection (though there are internet cafes at a 2 mins walk, if that).

Not your place if you want staff about. The very polite and smart gentleman who welcomed us - Alex, did just that. He arranged to meet us to give us the keys. He arrived on time, gave us a map of Turin centre, informed us of the very convenient parking bay within the square (which you need to buy a ticket for at the newsagents across the road and which is not expensive at all) and kindly asked us if we had any questions before leaving us to it: "If you need anything, call me on my mobile.." whch was good enough for us.

Not your kind of place if you like new-everything. It is part of an old palace after all. The furnishings and rooms are a bit worn and torn but not in a neglected way. The place is impeccably clean and the bathrooms are modern.

The Big Room was spacious with high ceilings and a lovely bathroom (it has a shower not a bath). Go to the jacuzzi room for your bath! The bed was big and comfortable and there were big windows with draping curtains in both bedroom and bathroom, overlooking the piazza. Very quiet at night (which was a surprise).

There is a spacious and cozy communal lounge area (which can be used to watch TV or play your DVD's when the place is empty - there was no one around 95% of the time), and a spotless jacuzzi corner tub in a big separate lockable room, together with an extra bathroom. If you go to this B&B, make sure that you have some time during the day after shopping or something to use the jacuzzi! Great place to pamper yourselves before going out!

Breakfast was offered at a premium - which we didn't take as we preferred to have our breakfast at a cafe when out and about - but there were good quality hot drinks available in your room and in the lounge at all times.

There are only a few rooms, and they are all on one floor - so brilliant idea if going as a group or grown up family to book all/most of the rooms so that you have the whole place to yourselves.

We loved this little treasure. It is very simple but has retained a palatial and quirky character. Being an old building it also remains cool in the heat of the day. Great value for money too @ max 120 euros per night !!

We're going back as soon as we can and would not bother looking for anywhere else in Turin.

Set within a beautiful old building this is basically a gloried appartment. The positives first:

The room was huge and very comfortable

The bathroom was fitted with brand new fittings and fixtures and the whole appartment was beautifully clean.

The negatives (the reason I write this review, so others don't fall into the same trap!):

They will ask you when you will be arriving. We wondered why this was important to them. When we got there we discovered it is because the accomodations is in a block of flats and there is not reception area. You have to meet the owners at a specified time to gain access to the building. This would be fine if we knew this in adance. Booking.com did not tell us this and we waited one hour for the owner.

There are two shared bathrooms between six rooms. When we were there four of the rooms were occupied and we were queuing for the bathroom

No breakfast was included when we were under the impression that it was

For 64 euros per night the offer is not good enough. Even the location is not completely central.

Book with caution please!
