“Excellent authentic Italian experience”
5 of 5 bubbles Reviewed 26 July 2013 via mobile

We stayed at the hotel for 2 nights in June and were sceptical after some of the reviews but the place was fantastic. We upgraded to a room with en-suite and it was well worth it. The hotel was spotlessly clean and we could see the snow topped mountains from our window.
The old fashioned lift is fantastic and the whole building is full of Italian character. We were genuinely surprised by this hotel. Breakfast was included and was very good also.

We chose the hotel based on the location and price. We stayed only 2 nights, so we didn't care much about the room quality. The location is very convenient, walking distance from the centre, Via Roma and Piazza Castello. Staff was very nice and friendly, breakfast was also good.
Room we stayed in was small and shabby, very old and somewhat ugly design, but clean enough. The biggest problem I have is the bed. Old and uncomfortable and you can feel the other person making any move. I also have lower back problems and the quality of bed is very important to me. For all that, I didn't have a good night sleep both nights.
I wouldn't stay there for longer, but I might go back for a short weekend.

Location was great (in Solferino square) and also in the web there were very attractive pictures which in fact do not reflect the reality at all! It was a shame for me to offer it to the group which I brough with me as I couldn't expect such quality of rooms. If you stay just 1 night, don't mind carrying heavy suitcases on narrow stairs, stain on the bedcovers, dust on heating elements... than you'll put up with situation. Breakfast was quite good though and it smoothed the overall impression a little bit. But I cannot reccommend it to you as if you expect 3 stars hotel, it's not a place!

We chose the hotel based on its location, affordable price and the photos posted on its website that promised a charming boutique experience. The family of four, we stayed in one room, which was quite tight. The beds were not of the best quality, had old mattresses, stained mattress covers and worn out bed covers. This aside, we loved the experience of parking in a private courtyard behind a huge locked door, taking an old elevator to the top floor of the city building where the hotel rooms are located. The staff was most helpful and kind. I could not make the internet work in the bedroom but was able to do so in the comfortable and spacious lobby. We enjoyed the proximity of the hotel and walked to the city center from there. Nice quiet location within a couple of blocks from bustle of the city center.

Room Tip: As the rooms appear to differ in configuration and decor, it may be good to ask to see a room or two...

This hotel was stunning inside and out, very elegant but our children were made to feel really welcome so we didnt feel uncomfortable having them there with us.
The weather was torrential that weekend in Turin so the fact that it was walking distance to restaurants and shops was perfect!
When we arrived they gave us the option to upgrade at a special price to the family suite which consisted of 2 bedrooms, bathroom, 2 floors and hall way which gave us lots of room to mill around.
The staff were helpful and breakfast in the morning was spot on catering for everyone.
Whilst in Turin we met up with some Italian friends and all took the children to the Egyptian musuem which is second only to Cairo! inside the building are actual pyramids to walk in and out of, mummies, artifacts and so much more....it was really cheap to get in and is based by the square where everyone congregates for music, food and atmosphere.
The hotel was clean and in a very walkable location.

As business takes me frequently to Turin, I have stayed in many hotels there, but now I have finally found my home! The hotel takes up the entire top floor of a downtown building - the walking distance to the main square is comfortable five minutes, and the streets around it are absolutely quiet - what a rare combination!
The host is a young lady, who is very dedicated to make your stay as comfortable as possible - she anticipates your needs and everything is just right.
The interior of the hotel is tasteful, the rooms are large and all of them have individual balconies. There are several sitting rooms with comfortable chairs, where you can take a rest, read a book, or meet other people.
Another highlight is the homemade cake for breakfast - I will never forget that!

All in all the offer is great - good sleep, pleasant surroundings, helpful staff - all your needs are accounted for! And this at a comparably low price!

See you soon!
