“Perfect B&B in the heart of Torino.”
Reviewed 24 January 2013

Staying here was an absolute joy. The rooms are thoughtfully and beautifully designed, each with its own quirky design element and modern fit out. The beds are very comfortable (we were nine people in three rooms so can vouch for three of the six rooms available!). All had a fabulous nights sleep. Everywhere you turn there is an interesting collection of vintage items or bespoke furniture, all inspiring ideas.
Breakfast in the morning was outstanding, we had more food than we could possibly eat, all tastes were met and we were very well looked after.
Enrico was full of information, history of the building and recommendations for dinner. He couldn't have been nicer.
The B&B is within easy walking distance from all the sights, train stations, markets etc. Ideal.
I would highly recommend this B&B , more interesting than any hotel you could stay in in Torino.

Room Tip: We had rooms Arneis, Dolcetto and Barber, all were fabulous. Arneis fit our family of 5 and the othe...

This is a surprising place of beauty - with interesting details in design all over r&b. This is exactly room and breakfast, not only bed, cause the rooms are designed with taste! Special thanks to Enrico who was always ready to help and answer any our questions, he recommended us two wonderful restaurants and beautiful places round Turin (Barolo, Alba, Sacra di San Michele). The room, though small, is a silence and beauty oasis. It is a refrigerator, a teapot, a hair dryer which are very convenient. Breakfasts is madly tasty, with a fresh pastry and a personal approach to every guest. Wi-fi is very good in the reception area and not so good in the room, because of thick old walls. The parking nearby is possible even for free if you enter the city center after limited hours in the morning (7:30-10:30a.m.) and if you find the place. Otherwise the parking can be outside the historic city center (2 streets aside) for 1,5 euro per hour or there are 2 parkings for 20 euros not far from this r&b. Sacra di San Michele is a must if you have the car - with gorgeous view over Alps. Tartuffo mercato in Alba is an interesting place to visit if you're here in November.
I recommend greatly this magic place and I wait for our return to Turin to stop in Magazzini San Domenico again ! :)

Room Tip: All the rooms are on the ground floor. We had the room Dolcetto which could highly recommend.

We stayed in the Nebbiolo room here for one night in August. Good location, but most of all, superbly appointed accommodation with everything beautifully designed and quite quirky, and very helpful hosts. Since it was August, a lot of the restaurants in Torino are closed for the holiday season, so the owner Enrico was very kind and phoned several he recommended until after about 6 attempts he found one that was open. He was also helpful in advance suggesting where to park and advised on the costs. The breakfast room is immaculately appointed and breakfast itself good quality, presented by a very friendly lady called Camelia. We will definitely go back here, we loved it.

I found this B&B thanks to tripadvisor and it lived up to all expectations. The B&B is very trendy inside, close to nice restaurants, shops and sight seeing. The owner was very friendly and helpfull. I only thought the breakfast was a bit minimal. No juice (the fisrt day), no eggs and NO cappucino!!!

I would recommend this place to everybody!

We stayed here for our first night of a two week tour of Italy. We had trouble finding it, but the owner came out and found us! He couldn't have been more helpful, allowing us to use a free single room the next day to store our luggage until we needed to catch our train. The B&B is very close to the station, tourist attractions, shops, restaurants etc, but is very peaceful and quiet. The room was beautifully designed, very comfortable bed, good shower and with a safe, hair dryer, free wifi, quiet air con. Would definitely stay here again.

We stayed here for a few days. We went for a wedding. It was a terrible rainy weekend and our little boy got ill. Fortunately, Magazzini San Domenico was so comfortable and nice, that we still managed to have a reasonably good time. The place was rebuilt in a very tasteful way.
Breakfasts were great.
It is very central, within walking distance of most turistic attractions and close to several restaurants.
The hosts are very nice and helpful.

Magazzini San Domenico is a bed & breakfast located in a quiet street in the middle of Torino and a lot of tourist attractions, shopping miles as well as bars and restaurants are within walking distance which is very convenient for guests. Not that many rooms so a very relaxed atmosphere.

Immediately when you enter the lobby you feel the warm and cosy atmosphere of the mixture of old and new. Every room has a different shape from a two-room appartement with a kitchenette and sofa to maisonette style or normal room. Beds are of good quality, safe is in the room, TV and armchairs as well. Well cleaned as well.
The modern styling of the rooms and lobby which serves as breakfast room as well shows a lot attention to detail well integrated into the mixture of old and new like partially brickwalls, high stuccoed ceilings or slated showers.
Enrico the owner is very anxious about the well-being of his guests and happy to give recommendations or help to make a restaurant booking etc.

Breakfast is typically for Italy like coffee/tea/juice/water, rolls/croissants and lovely cake and quiche and marmelade, eggs. Mortadella or sth like that would have been welcomed as well. Fruit basket is also available.

All in all I love to recommend it to everybody who likes to stay in a rather small but unique place in a modern and very cosy atmosphere in the middle of the city. Good value for money guaranteed.
