Owner description: The Museum is one of the most important of its kind in the world thanks to it vast collection and the many different scientific and educational activities it carries out. But what makes it truly unique is its special exhibit setup. The museum is located inside the Mole Antonelliana, a bizarre and fascinating monument which is the symbol of the City of Torino. And the various areas inside the Mole Antonelliana were the starting point for the Swiss set designer François Confino who, with talent and imagination, multiplied the museum's itineraries. He created a spectacular presentation that offers visitors continuous and unexpected visual and acoustic stimuli, just like when we watch a film that involves and moves us.

“Get lost for hours in the world of cinema!”
Reviewed 12 June 2014

The first time I went to the museum I discovered that it was impossible to buy tickets one hour before closing time. The next day I understood why. I spent half a day lost in the diversified sets, watching old movies and discovering old techniques and unique pieces.
The panoramic lift is only special the 1st time, as you get to see the whole museum from top with all the posters and setups, and the animation taking place in the dome. It's also interesting to take panoramic pictures of Turin from the top.
I will not spoil your visit by telling more details about the museum, I'll just tell you: make sure you have plenty of time if you're a movie fanatic, this museum will dazzle you with a unique, entertaining show :)

“Interactive, informative and very fun. Great for all ages”
Reviewed 10 June 2014

The museum has a few floors, each with a different side to cinema. You begin by learning about the cinema in the 1800s and then how it developed.
Inside is a large hall with beautiful costumes, photos and scenes from famous films.
It's very interactive and fun. Would definitely recommend!

“Place for fun”
Reviewed 7 June 2014 via mobile

I am a big fan of Italian movies - Fellini, Visconti, Antonioni, etc. Honestly, if you are very serious about movie, this is not the place for you. After the visit, you won't have a better understanding of the development of movie history, how to make a movie nor the production of movie. Instead, it is a place for Hollywood's stars and the ideal place for taking interesting photos with different mise en scene. After all, it is not a bad experience to visit and the red chairs on the ground floor are so comfortable to lie down for watching movie there.

“This had to be my favourite museum in Turin”
Reviewed 31 May 2014 via mobile

This is a must - the panoramic lift was great and the views from the Mole lovely.

I loved the architecture of the building as well as the exhibits - some fun things to do too and great photo opportunities.

The cafe bar in the basement is very funky and well done so worth a visit.

Not a huge museum content wise but a perfect little package enjoyed buy all our party - even the teenagers!!! Included in the torino+piemont card.

“Excellent view of Turin”
Reviewed 30 May 2014

In Turin, an excellent view of the city can be enjoyed from the tower of the Cinema Museum. The Museum itself is wonderful. Surely, more items will be incorporated in its exhibitons in future. I wish they have an exposition devoted to Soviet film-making industry, especially animated cartoon films!
