This restaurant is the new creation of Enrico Cairola (a famous aplinsit turned chef-owner), who closed down La Gola after more then 40 years and decided at the age of 83 that he cannot retire.
It is a true Piemontese trattoria. There is no menu, every day the kitchen decide what is fresh and you get to choose from at least three choices one of each: antipasto (for example yesterday I sampled the shrimp with local beans), pasta, main course (the BEST Carna Crudo you get get in Torino), and desert.
All of this is accompanied by wine (all you can drink if you manage to drink more then a bottle good for you and Enrico still runs around the province trying to get wines from small producers), bottled water, coffee, and grapa (or any other after dinner drink you might wish for). All of this is for the amazing price of 40euro per person.
It is a must if just to see Enrico runs around the kitchen and the small dinning room at age 80.
Since he now have only 8 small tables I would strongly recommend making a reservation.
