Description: The most elegant restaurant of the most elegant city in Italy. From 1757, Del Cambio is famous among seekers of all that is beautiful and delightful. Today, next to the precious furniture and decorations of the XIXth century, you can admire the artworks of international contemporary artists, and taste the dishes from the piedmontese tradition, matching the inventive creations of the chef Matteo Baronetto.

This historic restaurant is not just a history piece but alive with classic Piemontese food and select wines. The agnolotti, the meats, mixed with a good Barolo sent me to heaven.
It is the kind of place that is a special occasion restaurant, or a must see in Torino, but the food is a reason to consider it a place for a good meal full of high level Piemontese comfort food.

The staff and service are of the highest quality, complete with a Sommelier.

Generally say the prices are expensive but thier service, atomosphere and dishes are valuable.
Especially their 'Finanziera', the dish in second, is strongly recommended to enjoy if you don't mind this kind of stews. That was ranked within the best 3 (three) dish in Italy I have ever eaten.

p.s. I would like you to have primo + second without antipasto considering cost performance.

This was our second visit to Del Cambio, It has lost none of its beautiful and historic elegance, entirely fitting for what is reputedly Turin's oldest restaurant. The clientele on our visit appeared to be primarily local (perhaps due to the holiday season) which in our view is a positive. The staff is highly professional yet welcoming as was the service. There is an extensive but not outrageously priced wine list focused on the Piedmont greats. The Sommelier recommended a wine by a maker that I was unfamiliar with but that turned out to be superb (and not over-priced at Euro 95 given quality).Unfortunately the food, while very good, did not live up to the rest of the experience. The menu is a bit dated (focusing on several "historic" specialities) and none of the courses, while well-prepared, were particularly outstanding or memorable. Well worth a visit but don;t go expecting a "foodie" experience.
