This hotel is excellent in every way from beautifully decorated public areas, excellent lounge and bar for relaxing, comfortable bedrooms with top quality linen, superb garden restaurant and wonderful and helpful staff. Hotel even gave a member of our party a bottle of champagne on check out to celebrate his birthday. Will definitely be back.

We did book a Juniorsuite with nice of the Gardens! The room was about 350 Euro per night and should have a balcony. We did have a balcony that was smaller than small and the only view of the Garden that they had was the treetops. Otherwise we had a nice room with a small sofa in the seatingroom and 2 singlebeds put together to make a queenbed, made it hard to cuddle! There was a small fruitbasket in our room on arrival but no standard Waterbottles in the room except the ones in the fridge at normal minibar charges. I did put 10 Euro on the bed the next morning and hoping to recive some additional service but only to find that the room was just normal cleaned and things we did use in the bathroom was not replaced! We did have lunch in the garden the following day and we both enjoyed our food. As the next day was a rainy day we asked the front desk, Ms Wilma to reserv a table for in the Restaurant at opening time 19.30 and was told no problem even it was only 2 table left. We arrived punctly at time and there was no reservation for us but the staff did mange to replace some other people and get us a table. Food was again very good so no complaints there. Breakfast was also what you could expect at a 5 star hotel in Italy + there was a machine pressing us fresh Orange juice, a nice touch! The Cold Cuts was Another thing that I did like, very nice cheese and hams! Stay again, No Bolzano was not Italy more like Germany and if I like to go To Germany there is better places! But the hotel was nice, specially the Lobby and the outside areas!

We have stayed here many times, and the Hotel is as charming as ever. The service is efficient and unobtrusive, the staff friendly and the surroundings beautiful and tranquil. The park is a great asset, and it is wonderful to wander round the beautiful plants and relax by the pool in the afternoon sunshine with a refreshing drink from the Summer Lounge. We had a lovely room on the 3rd floor, with a bay window overlooking the Dolomites to the front of the Hotel. Previously we have had rooms overlooking the Park, so it was nice to see the ‘other’ view, and we were not disturbed by any traffic despite having the windows open at night.

My only criticism is that we felt the quality of the food on the ‘Daily menu’ in the restaurant was not quite up to the standards of previous years, especially the king prawns on our last night which did not taste as fresh as they should have done, presumably because they had been frozen. We were also charged the cover charge on 2 of our 3 nights; we have not been charged this before, and as we were told that this is not compulsory for Hotel guests, we will consider next time whether this menu offers better value than choosing a la carte, or even venturing into the town.

However, this did not majorly detract from our stay, and this remains one of my favourite hotels, and we will be returning.

Room Tip: They are all individual, and lovely!

We had a most enjoyable stay here for our 27th anniversary. Perfect location, perfectly clean, friendly service, excellent staff at the reception who made us most welcome, and best services we ever had by the personnel during our 4 breakfast. Rooms were perfectly done sometimes until we are having bfast. WiFi is available free of charge but it expires every 30 mins, then one has to re log-in. We had a room overlooking the main road but windows close tightly, and no noise at all. Road is not that busy. Beautiful garden with pool, bar & restaurant. Through the garden one can walk out to the main square in 1 minute. If you are getting here by car parking is €16 per day but public car park under the main square might be cheaper. Hotel very close to train station.

Room Tip: nothing to add, I suppose all the rooms are good.

This was a wonderful hotel in the northeastern Italian town of Bolzano. It is conveniently located near the center of the old town and within easy walking distance, even pulling suitcases, of the train station. The dining room is elegant and the inclusive breakfast was wonderful. We ate dinner in their restaurant one evening, and it was elegant, delicious, and reasonably priced. They have a wonderful bar area where you can have a light meal if you don't feel like a full dinner. Though in the heart of the city, the hotel has a large, beautiful garden with many seating areas where you can relax, read a book, and have a drink brought to you by their friendly wait staff. The entire staff seem anxious to please. A thoroughly enjoyable experience!

Room Tip: Request a room overlooking the garden at the rear of the hotel. The rooms on the streetside could po...

After spending a week in Milan attending a conference, I felt that a couple of days R&R away from big cities before my 25hr return trip to Australia was perfectly justified.
I had only recently read a travel article on the South Tyrolean town of Bolzano, about 3 hours by train from Milan, which sounded like a perfect place to experience the very different scenery & culture of this region of Northern Italy.
TA research & reviews indicated that there were 2 main contenders that appealed to my requirements but the fact that the Park Hotel Laurin was just a 5 min walk from the train station was the main deciding factor, I have to admit. The location, in fact, cannot be faulted if you are walking with luggage from the station.
Traveling alone, I had booked a single room as I felt that I did not need much space when sightseeing was the main focus of my weekend. Reception staff were uniformly courteous & friendly, speaking fluent English but I was informed with apologies that my room was actually not quite ready when I arrived about 10 minutes after the designated check-in time.
After a short wait, however, I was called back to reception & received my key for a room on the 5th floor which, much to my delight, turned out to be a very spacious queen room with a 2-seater couch, coffee table & proper desk. The two dormer windows (this was the top floor) provided marvellous views over the town & nearby hills with a glimpse of the Dolomites in the distance. The bathroom was also large & quite luxurious with extensive marble trim. This was just perfect and a much better room than I had expected. Wi-fi was also included & fast.
A really delightful feature of this traditional property was the large, lush private garden lounge set in the quite extensive private gounds. This was the perfect spot to enjoy a glass or two of Proseco before dinner. The hotel restaurant had already been highly recommended to me by friends who had stayed at another hotel some months earlier so I booked for Saturday dinner. The food was excellent, winelist comprehensive & very reasonably priced and service could not be faulted.
In summary – a very positive experience with all aspects of the hotel & a great place to enjoy the other pleasures of Bolzano.

What a great hotel! Our room was very large and modern. We had a view of the beautiful garden. We really appreciated the clothesline in the bathroom since we were traveling light and had to wash some clothes. (We trekked to the laundromat but it was filled with mountain men washing tents.) We even had time to use the outdoor pool. It was close to 90 when we were there and, after walking all day, the pool was wonderful. They had a pool house stocked with towels and lots of lounge chairs. It was easy to walk everywhere. We visited Otzi and took the gondola to Oberbolzen. The breakfast was amazing. Freshly-squeezed orange juice, chocolate croissants and excellent cheese. Be sure to take the stairs within the hotel as there are interesting pictures and pieces of antique furniture on each landing.
