We moved to the centre of Bolzano for a couple of nights to be close tot he train station for some day trips furthur afield (no vehicle). The Feichter was clean basic friendly and economical, could not ask for more. We though it was good value.

Awesome town to stay in when travelling between Germany and Italy. This hotel is very friendly, clean and excellent service with a reasonable price. would recommend. Do not forget to visit the museum here set up to ITZI the 5,000 year old mummy found in the alps near here. I was unsure wether to visit and was pleasantly surprised what is in there. Opening time is 10.00am ea day. Visit the cafes and restaurants ....great!

Well located for exploring beautiful Bolzano, pleasant rooms, accommodating staff. Don't miss the Iceman Museum, one of the most fascinating we've seen. Lovely river through town and great mountain views. Recommended.

A trip to the European Alps is not complete unless you travel to the Italian side. Most travelers visit the Italian Alps through Torino (Turin), but there's another sight to check out. Just a few hours south of Innsbruck, Austria and through the Brenner Pass is the small Germanic city of Bozen/Bolzano. This city rests on the Italian Alps, which was once part of Austria and thus the reason why most people speak German as their primary language. Feichter Hotel is the best hotel to use when staying in Bozen/Bolzano. It has a central location, while still being close to the main train and bus stations. Besides the fantastic location, Feichter Hotel has superb service with their guest relations. The staff, especially Wolfgang and Hannes (brothers) make your stay feel important and special. It's nice to feel like family and the Feichter's do an awesome job at that. Finally, the hotel and the rooms are richly decorated with a fusion of Austrian and Italian themes with ample space. You get taken back and wonder if this hotel is really a two star hotel. Here's my advice for all; skip the norm of the Italian Alps and take a trip to Bozen/Bolzano. It's a great city to see the Italian Alps, the Dolomites, and Ötzi the Iceman, especially when staying at Feichter Hotel.

This is a very nice two star hotel loated in the center of town. Easy to find. The proprieter and her son are both very helpful, though she does not speak much English. Rooms are clean and comfortable, and its not at all noisy. Price is reasonable. All around an excellent choice for the budget minded.

Note that my rating is a reflection of the room we were allocated, not the hotel as a whole. We were offered the last double room in the hotel which was clearly the worst, as it looked like none of the rooms in the brochure. We were warned that the room would be very hot, so they loaned us a fan to help cool down the room as there is no AC. We were told that we could move to a better room the following night, but it would be easier for the cleaning lady if we didn't. If we chose not to move, we were offered a 5 euro per night discount. We ended up staying in the same room and paid 85 euro per night (breakfast included) but this seems expensive compared to the other rooms which were superior and had the standard 90 euro rate.
Staff were friendly and accommodated our needs. The hotel interior decorating in the stairwells and common areas is lovely. Our room was very modest and cramped, no hairdryer, shampoo, soap bars (liquid soap provided from a dispenser). Would perhaps stay again if I could get a better room.

My family of three booked a triple room at EU110 per night including breakfast. Location of this hotel is great, near to the railway station and to the shops and market. Breakfast was served in a simple pleasant restaurant. It was adequate and the ham was delicious. However the toilet was very small and there is no AC. It so happened that it was one of the hottest day in italy when we stayed in Bolzano. Fortunately we requested for a fan in the room. The owners' sons speak excellent English.

Room Tip: ask for a room with a bigger bathroom
