We are usa citizens & we having been living in Italy for6 mos! Susanne & Stefanos hotel was totally the Best!! The restaurant was great we ate there 2 nites back to back!! The Massuse was incredible! Our room was so neat, clean & romantic!! The town is so quaint! We will return to the hotel next year to stay with them& celebrate our 35. Th wedding anniversary! Of all hotels we have stayed in Italy ......we give them an A+++ and I am very selective!!

Room Tip: The 4 poster bedroom overlooking the Dolomites !!!

We stayed here for 2 nights and wished we had stayed longer. Castelrotto is a beautiful village and the hotel was perfectly located in the market square. Our room was beautiful and very clean. The parking was included and in a large parking garage underneath the hotel. We had both our breakfasts and our dinners in the dining room and the food was very good. An unexpected benefit was the free laundry facilities with soap available to use too! Suzanne had great suggestions on where to hike and what route to take. Overall a wonderful experience and we hope to be back soon.

Great hotel-charming,spotless. From the bus station- a lift and short stroll up the hill. The staff was welcoming-very informative. Susanna spoke English very well. Our room for 3 had a four poster bed and cot. The down comforters were lovely. We had a sitting room with satellite TV. The armoirs were large and contained a safe. There was a porch with chairs and tables and the view was unbelievable. Even though we were right next to the town's bell tower there wasn't a noise problem. The doors/window to get to the patio was a bit tricky. There was a marble sink separate from the toilet/shower which makes getting ready easier when there are a few friends sharing a room. In the shower/tub there is an interesting tri-fold door which doesn't cover the entire length of the tub. I can only image how much water may get on the floor if you are not careful. A very good b-fast buffet was included. We had a table reserved just for us while we stayed. We had dinner there the first night. It was tough if you only spoke and read English. The hotel let us do laundrey for free, which was great for us travelling 18 days. I got an excellent massage- and adequately priced. They booked the sauna area for us for 1 hour of private use. It was wonderful. Our friend even used the tanning bed(solarium) for 8 euros. The lounge area served drinks and had free wi-fi for the first 1/2 hr. They gave you a code if you wanted to use your mobile device. I would recommend this hotel highly.

This hotel in the old center city of Castelrotto/Kastelruth reflects its dual heritage, since this sliver of Italy was firmly part of Austria for centuries before World War I and is still largely German-speaking and culturally Austrian/German. The hotel itself is lovely, if initially hard to get to by car. Once one finds it, the staff is wonderfully welcoming and eager to direct guests to the nearby garage once they are checked in. Our room was lovely, spacious, comfortable. It was at the front of the hotel, overlooking a bell tower which rings every hour on the hour, loudly. The hotel has excellent sound-proofing windows, but in warm weather when it would be necessary to keep windows open during the night it would have been awful, so at that time of year it might be best to ask for a room in the back of the hotel.

We ate in the hotel one night. The food was excellent.

The town itself is a great place to walk, and many picturesque places are within a short drive.

Room Tip: If it is a warm time of year, do NOT pick a room in the front overlooking the bell tower. The hotel is not air-conditioned, and you will have to open the windows.

A lovely little hotel in a nice location. Five of us stayed in 3 rooms for 6 nights and all enjoyed our stay. Traditionally furnished and very clean rooms, fine public rooms. Fine food both at breakfast and dinner. All staff welcoming, friendly and helpful. Good value and so overall highly recommended
