Visited this restaurant twice in one day. Couldn't get enough. Grilled zucchini a light and tasty starter, as was the artichokes. We ordered more and more of the same! Then had beef tartar which is spiced in the kitchen and served ready to eat. The chef brought us a spoon to try. It was great, but would have preferred a little less mustard, but didn't even try and convey that as I can't speak Italian. Nevertheless, the tartar was delicious (shared between two of us over lunch). We went back for dinner and had the antipasta set out on a big table for starters, and then pasta carbonara which was rich, but delicious. The restaurant only serves seafood on the weekends (from what we could understand on the menu) and we'd been once before and enjoyed a lobster pasta. Great ambience, good lighting... best place we found in Merano. Service is a bit slow and can be grumpy. Best to make a reservation and, if you don't speak Italian, take a dictionary.
