We stayed 2 nights last month in this charming local hotel. Staff and management are very nice and do their best to communicate with you. After a long tour of Europe, it was great to feel "at home" in this place. I highly recommend it for the experience.

+: If you like the rustic style, you will love this place. Unique rooms and very friendly staff. Good food and bufett breakfast.

-: The room smelled like it wasn't aired for some time and the waste bin was not emptied before my arrival. The diner was quite expensive.

We stayed there for two nights and we had a great time. The staff were friendly and tried to speak as much English as possible with us. The whole place has charm and character! Our room had a little kitchenette that was fairly well equipped but they have a restaurant open in the evenings so could just eat there

The breakfast was delicious and plentiful! Served in a cute breakfast room off the main building.
There is free WiFi but only in the court yard. We enjoyed sitting out there with our coffee.
All in all it was a very comfortable stay!

My wife and I visited Villa Bertagnolli on a recent trip to Italy to celebrate our wedding anniversary.
We stayed just one enjoyable night. Although in the throes of renovation work which had no impact on our stay, the villa is a stunning building with massive character and quirky detail. It is also a bit of a maze to say the least!
We found the staff to friendly and helpful. The room we stayed in (Mamma) was comfortable and cosy. Only the ensuite let it down a little as it is not finished to as high a standard as the rest. The bed was very comfortable and the view from the window and the balcony overlooking the courtyard and mountains behind the villa was lovely.
We were told to feel free to explore, which we did and found many charming features and period details. We thought it could make a wonderful wedding venue.
We also took the opportunity to dine in-house and were not disappointed. The food was excellent. Tasty and reasonably priced (you get discount on the menu prices if you are a guest). If you have never tried canaderli (a dish peculiar to more northern parts of Italy) I suggest you try it here!
Overall we were delighted with our stay and our only criticism was that the towels were very rough. Other than that, the location, the charm of the building, the staff and the food made it a memorable stay.

The place is a bit tricky to find especially during the night because you need to drive through all the small road up the hill but it was worth the search as the villa was really a nice place to stay. The villa has a nice view where one side is facing the vineyard.

The host was really friendly and helpful, the room was clean and free wifi. Food was excellent, pasta was home made including the sauce and wine! How good was that! One thing that you've to take note is that the reception is not operate 24 hours, best is to arrive before the restaurant close (assume 9pm). If you are going to be late best to ring up and inform them to avoid being locked out when you arrive!

Overall this is a nice place to stay, pure typical Italian style accommodation. I would recommend others to try. Remember, arrive early to avoid lock out and try their home made food & wine!
