This hotel defines ski in/ski out since it is located inside the lift station itself! The rooms are small but clean with decor from the 70s. Very thin walls keep you entertained with fiery fighting Italian couples while the restaurant brings you back to school-lunch-noise-levels. But it all quiets down after 10 pm. If you stay here you are probably a dedicated skier with no interest in stylish bars, nightlife or fine dining. Get up, ski, eat, go to sleep, repeat.

The views and accessibility to the slopes made this hotel a good choice for us. Although an old hotel it was clean and comfortable. The staff are amazing and friendly. Evenings on the slopes are magical. They make fantastic food, a great variety more than anyone can eat. Although the cable car between the hotel and village closed at 17:00, the hotel could be reached by Ski bike which was another amazing experience in the moonlight. We will definitely be back.

Room tip: All rooms and bathrooms are very spacious

Fantastic location at the top of the bubble lift from the village so you can get onto the slopes before the crowds arrive. The hotel is dated and the food is a bit canteen style but value for money is good.

Stayed for a week at Lo Stambecco in March 2017. Weather wasn't too good, but the food and service at the hotel was excellent. Can strongly recommend. Ski in and ski out. Location is perfect.
Nice Spa department as well.

The hotel is a 1960's concrete construction located right on top of two lifts (one going down to Cervinia and one up to Plateau Rosa). The place is dated with small rooms and lounge areas with pool tables and worn-out furniture. However, the kitchen serves a very nice buffet + two courses and the staff is very welcoming. Our room was minimalistic (wooden walls, bunk bed etc), but clean and silent after 16.30, when the lifts stop. The location in the middle of the very good skiing area is an extra bonus, and the moutain view from the hotel is breathtaking.
