Very nice place within short walking distance to the lifts. The service is great. The family owning the place is really doing their best for you to feel comfortable. In our price we also had breakfast and dinner in the hotel. We had really good food including some local specialities. If there was a problem it was to have room for all of the food.
All in all a great stay at a fanastic resort.

This is a family run business, but I felt the owners have developed a bit of a 'that will do' attitude. The decor is incredibly dated and fussy artifacts, like stuffed animals are everywhere. The shower was practically unusable. Due to low water pressure it was just dribbling - not OK when you return from a day skiing. Room was not cleared for 2 days after our arrival and the bin was actually overflowing - excuse given was that we didn't leave key at reception ( I am surprised there's only 1 key to a room). Location is not bad, but there are many hotels that are right on the slope. Breakfast was another joke with very limited selection and the same blueberry(?)pie appearing on the counter 3 days in a row. Previous comments made me believe this place was good value for money but I beg to differ. I felt it was overpriced and I would prefer not to return.

Good basic hotel, warm, clean and comfortable. Only 7 bedrooms. Has own heated boot room which is locked at night. Plentiful continental buffet breakfast, though I would have liked more choice in cereal and some fruit (but supermarket closeby sold fruit anyway). Staff very friendly and helpful, happily served early breakfast on day of departure.
Very close to piste and only short walk from Cretaz lifts.
Would happily stay there again.
Try the cafe/bar in the hotel-cheaper than may others and frequented by locals. We had one meal in the hotel restaurant in the basement, which was good.
Cervinia is not cheap, I guess partly as a consequence of the exchange rate, but it felt more pricey for food than other Italian resorts.

Wonderful and friendly family-run hotel (and good restaurant downstairs).Excellent breakfast so long as you don't want a fry up.Opposite the Samovar tea rooms(try the sweet chestnut tart) ,good mini -market around the corner if you wish to avoid the often crowded supermarket.Loved the freedom of eating at a different restaurant each night.
Our week's skiing was disrupted by strong winds except for one perfect day, however would still consider returning to Cervinia because of the great piste conditions and this gem of a hotel

We stayed there for one week from Jan 18th 2009. Booked thru Crystal ski. A lovely small family run hotel. (Only 7 rooms!) Rooms are small but perfectly adequate, very cute and feels very homely. Decor good and very comfortable. Hotel is spotless and we had our room cleaned and bed made up every morning. Bath towels good size and hand towels are like our teatowels but plentiful. Shower works well and plenty of hot water to soak in the tub at nite, you can squeeze two in the bath at a push! Very good self serve buffet style breakfast, lovely croissants! Hotel in excellent location, on a quiet side street literally 4 minutes walk from main 6 man chairlift. Staff very friendly and helpful. Boot & ski room in basement which is heated and the hotel has a good sized lift despite only being 3 stories. Picture on website does not do it justice, lovely interior. Also there it has internet access. All shops and ski hire shops only 2 minutes from hotel. This hotel is rated 2* but do not be put off by other reviews, we are SO picky about hotels when we go on holiday and we loved this one, we kind of hate to rave about it as its Cervinia's best kept secret and we want to go back anytime, but it is HIGHLY RECOMMENDED. Best for couples/friends only not families. Amenities nearby: Restaurant below the hotel, 'La Nicchia', although recommended elsewhere, we avoided it after one visit, very average food and expensive for what it was, no ambiance, look elsewhere for better food and prices. (Try the Restaurant 'Jour et Nuit' up the street from the hotel, owned by one of the local ski instructors, the meat dishes cooked in a traditional wood fired oven are to die for and for an extra 20euros on the bill compared to 'La Nicchia' it was like comparing a burger bar to Gordon Ramsay's place! Go there, you WILL go back!). You also HAVE to go across the street from the hotel to the cafe-Bar 'La Samovar'- if you love coffee and italian pastry this is for you- open from 8am till midnight, superb pastries, fab coffee, lovely tea infusions and relaxing decor and good music to unwind to, not rowdy, nice relaxing cafe/bar, their 'Bombardinos' are yummy, and they do gorgeous teatime snacks!
