This place caters for big groups by serving the entire table the same food. The quality is fine, though no better than anywhere else, but it does seem like a production line, rather than a restaurant.

Delicious pizza and calzone! however we had quite a wait before someone came to take our order, and then the staff were quickly confused with our English I.e asking for a pizza without one of the toppings blew their mind. however pushing that aside the food was good and fairly cheap! €2 cover charge for each person.

The italian habit of restaurants closing their kitchens for the afternoon might surpise travellers. La Padella is just about the only place in town that serves food between 15-18. Their menu is long, and food is tasty and wholesome at low price. Service is extremely friendly and English well spoken by the patron.
Good choise if starved after skiing.

We have skied at Courmayeur and has a stop at La Padella with no previous search or knowledge. We have ordered a variety of dishes as we were very hungry. Everything we ate was delicious, but the polenta and tiramisu were out of this world! We were a party of four and ordered different desserts to share, tiramisu over exceeded our expectations by far, so we ordered two more! I would recommend anyone passing through Mont Blanc Tunnel to give a stop and visit this restaurant.

This is more than a pizzeria and a brasserie: they have traditional dishes (polenta, cold cuts, soups), a grill and a pizza oven - pizzas look really nice, but haven't tried.
Quality is normal, with the typical valdotain flavors.
Service is really quick, even if sometimes a little messy. The location doesn't look like it is appropriate for special occasions or business lunch.
Fair prices (20-30 euros pp)

Thank Tacrol
