“Sardo food, but is it really?”
Reviewed 8 June 2014

I have been eating Sardo food on the island and at different other locations in Italy. Here it was a mix of local and Sardo. The Sardo dinner consisted of 4 relatively small courses. Acceptable, but certainly not our favorite in Padova.

“A Sardinian menu in Padua”
Reviewed 30 May 2013

Located in the back streets not far from the Plaza Hotel, this small restaurant was a great find. We were warmly welcomed and were served really lovely food. The menu was interesting and the Sardinian wine we drank by the glass was excellent but we unfortunately forgot to ask for the name of it. Word of warning - we tried to go back on the Saturday evening without booking but all the tables were taken or reserved so be prepared and book in advance for the weekend.

“Fantastic place, excellent service and terrific food”
Reviewed 20 February 2013 via mobile

This place has been a very pleasant surprise. Warm and welcoming staff, extremely professional and willing to give suggestions and explain the various courses. We let the owner decide for us and we've been offered a selection of everything. The food was just delicious. Fresh ingredients, tasty and prepared with an eye to presentation. List wine was also very good. I am not from Sardinia. But as an Italian I am very aware of regional differences. This place is a gem. i will come again and recommend it to everybody.
The restaurant is a pleasant venue, warm atmosphere, where all details are taken care of. Spotless and immaculate (including toilets!)

“good food, good service, good atmoshpere”
Reviewed 16 October 2011

A very good restaurant serving a variety of food unknown to most people. We were there on a Saturday night and every table was occuppied. The service was prompt and attentive. Most of the patrons seemed to be local people, many of whom knew each other. The prices were not cheap but we had a full range of dishes and wine for about 75 euros. I would certainly go back.

“Excellent cuisine”
Reviewed 17 September 2011

We went four times during the spring of 2011. The trattoria is set in a beautiful old building and the main room is very comfortable and pleasantly decorated with antiques. Dining happens after 8pm and it is best to reserve. The family athmosphere makes one feel as a guest. They serve a variety of interesting breads and to all guests, a token of a scrumptuous soup to sip on while your meal is prepared. Typical sardinian/sicilian cuisine and a truly original presentation make for a very interesting experience for your taste buds. I strongly recommend La Piccola Trattoria.
