With newly redecorated rooms that are goodly sized and high-ceilinged, helpful staff, a wonderful breakfast,a location 1 minute from the train station and 5 minutes from Scrovegni Chapel, reasonable prices, and a very short train ride to Venice, you can have it all at the Grand'Italia,
Our room was clean, new, well-furnished and beautifully designed. Staff will acquaint you with Padova's sights on a map before you go out the door. Breakfast included fruits, patisserie, cereals, meats, cheeses, eggs, and more.
One proviso: during non-working hours, foreign workers congregate in front of internet phone and money transfer stores in the first block or so leading to the center. You are safe there, but if you prefer to avoid the people on the sidewalk, simply cross the street and walk to town on that side.
Padova is a gem of an Italian city well-worth a visit. In fact, being so very close to Venice, you can access Venice in minutes by train, returning to Padova in the evening to enjoy a terrific hotel and uninflated prices at restaurants on Padova's large piazze.

We needed somewhere close to the railway station. This hotel is less than a minute on foot. The staff were charming and helpful. The rooms were comfortable and a good size. Air conditioned. We had the room at the front with the balcony with French windows. Not much of a view (the station and bus terminal) but nice all the same. Breakfast was very good. A nice selection and again very helpful staff. We were in Padua to visit the Scrovegni Chapel which is within walking distance.

If you need a place to stay closes to train station, here is your hotel. I had spent one night here in April 2014. The staff here is very helpful, and smiley. Breakfast is good and more variety. If you plan to visit the tourist places of Padua, just walk around 10-20 mins to reach any places. Or you can take the tram, which the station is located just at the conner of hotel building. So convinence!

The room looks a bit old, but still clean. The lift is a bit slow and looks very old, but it is not the key problems. All in all, if I have chances to visit Padua again, I, no doubt, choose this hotel.

Stayed for four nights this week. Lovely hotel. Clean and modern. Staff very helpful. Replied promptly to all emails prior to our arrival. They have a covered and manned car park approx 100m away at an additional cost. Just across the street from railway station within which is a Spar supermarket. Ideal for trips to Venice. Trains approximately every 15mins.
Breakfast was good and plentiful. No dinner or lunch available. Town centre a 15 minute walk away. Would return without hesitation, exceptional value.

I went in early March, the hotelier was very friendly and the room is always very clean. The hotel is very accessible as Padova train station is just around 100m away. Around this hotel, you will find bars and fast food restaurant and it is near to a supermarket. There are quite a few choices for breakfast and not just croissant. The only bad thing about the room was that it gets really warm at night, maybe because it is still winter-spring period, the hotel did not switch on the hotel. Otherwise, all is great!

Just across the train station which is not the best place in town especially at night as strange characters are around although to be fair it is very well policed.Excellent staff, good breakfast and reception area very appealing.Again on the negative side lack of decent eating places as what is available is take aways. Was very disappointed regarding this.
I originally made the trip to visit the Srovegni Chapel which is about 15 mts walk ....please do visit

it is just across the train station in Padova so it is very convenient if you travel by train.
The staff is very friendly and helpful. Near is guarded parking which is very important for Italy.
Not very nice neighborhood and noisy during night. Hotel looks little bit shabby. Breakfast cold be better. It takes 10 minutes walk to historical center. Good wi-fi.
