“An unexpected gem”
5 of 5 bubbles Reviewed 7 April 2014

This is a lovely hotel in a superb location with excellent staff. I stayed there twice recently and both times have been impressed with the courtesy and professionalism of the staff, the comfort of the rooms (everything you need, on hand and a great shower to boot) and the excellent breakfast buffet. There is a delightful aroma in the reception and on the stairs, unusual and very pleasant.
I will definitely go back.

Room Tip: I had the same room twice and slept very well, inspite of looking onto a road.

We recently made a booking at Belludi 37 for our sister and niece who were travelling to Padua in March. Please note that we did not visit the Hotel ourselves. Having read the reviews of Belludi 37 on Tripadvisor we contacted the Hotel and the response time from the Hotel was exceptionally quick and very very professional. Before writing this review, we waited for our sister to return from her trip and she informed us that the service, Hotel and room were impeccable and the location was unbeatable. Given that our sister was in Padua to celebrate her birthday, it was extremely important to us that the Hotel delivered on our expectations. Instead, Belludi 37 exceeded all expectations and provided a personal touch that allowed our sister and niece to celebrate her birthday in style in beautiful Padua. We may not have visited ourselves, but we will always be grateful for the five star service, professionalism and warmth that our family received from this wonderful Hotel.

The Belludi Hotel is a gem of a place that I would like to keep a secret but it is important to give credit where it is due. From the moment you walk in through the discreet entrance you are made to feel incredibly welcome, in a very genuine and warm manner. Thomas and Oscar the two gentlemen who run the front desk are charming, efficient and knowledgeable in equal measure. The hotel is privately owned and the owners go out of their way to ensure that you know that your comfort is their priority.
The rooms are stylish and well equipped, and the room with the view of the basilica is breathtaking. Breakfast is delightful and once again nothing is too much trouble.
This is my second visit to the Belludi I can guarantee that it will not be the last as The Belludi exceeds expectations on all levels and I look forward to returning very soon.

Room Tip: Ask for the one with the view of the basilica!

I've stayed at a few other hotels in Padova as I travel for business; this was my first time at Belludi 37. first off, the location is superb - walking distance to the center, prato delle valle, basilica santantonio...
I spent five nights at Belludi, the first three in one room, and the last two in another. the reason for a change was due to an unusual smell in the first room, which wasn't too bad the first night, but progressively got worse during my stay. the hotel staff was extremely responsive and friendly, and promptly offered to move me to another room (which they were kind enough to move everything while I was at work during the day). the first room was carpeted, and had a nicely (and by the look, recently) remodeled bathroom. the second room, a bit larger, had hard floors, and a bathroom that was a bit smaller and not as nice as the first. both rooms had comfortable beds, adequate storage space and pretty decent wifi. the breakfast room, on the second floor, was always well-stocked with a nice selection of breads, pastries, yogurt, fruit, juice, etc plus the daily offer of fresh eggs (made to order).
the other nice surprise was the driving accessibility of the hotel. as it is closer into the center, my italian coworkers had some concern about morning traffic to and from the autostrada. for the entire work week I was there, we never experienced any significant traffic delays or problems.
overall this is a nice little hotel with a very friendly staff in a great location.

The front Desk are very Helpful, our luggage was taken to our room, Room very clean, you can here the City waking up in the Morning 7am onward but, we didn't find that a problem.
I've Visited Padova since 2003 (11 Times) and used other B & B, 'Hotels', but belludi 37 is by far the Best.
Breakfast from 7am to 10am, Excellent selection.
Our room was bigger than I normally find in Hotel's.
All the staff at this Hotel are very friendly and Made our stay more enjoyable.

ps; My wife didn't want to travel to another Hotel, so we stayed the 5 night's in belludi 37.

In addition to all other positive commentaries I'd like to add two more things:
1) the hotel owners were kind to let us park our car at their premises until the evening when we returned from a trip around the city having purchased the Padova Card so we were able to move to Piazza Rabin parking that was free for Padova Card owners (thus saving 15 euro/night)
2) when we had trouble leaving the parking (it was Sunday and the person on the speakerphone didn’t speak English, and we had somehow to report our Padova Card number in order to leave the parking), Andrea (one of the hotel owners) had a talk with the parking maintenance company and their representative came to Piazza Rabin to manually assist our exit from the parking.

Room Tip: The room with a view to Basilica of St.Anthony (the one with a small balcony) is worth its price.

Hotel Belludi 37 has no sign and the entry is inconspicuous, so it may take a bit of a hunt to find it in the maze of narrow, cobbled one-way streets of old Padua. But it's well worth the effort. Our friends had recommended it so highly that we were skeptical--if anything, they underpraised it. The front desk staff are all terrific and speak about 8 languages.
We were treated handsomely from the moment the door opened: we got there early and weary after a dawn arrival in Venice and a long drive in pouring rain; Thomas the charming desk clerk made us comfortable in the sitting area and brewed us fresh espresso while the finishing touches were made to our room. From then on, the enthusiastic staff made us welcome, acting as concierge and providing whatever we requested, from restaurant reservations to sightseeing recommendations and travel directions.
Our room was large (bath was small but serviceable), clean, and sleek, with hardwood floors and streamlined contemporary furniture. Our only complaint was a lack of good reading lamps.
The breakfast buffet offered good variety and quality. The public spaces are compact but adequate. Wifi was reliable.
The location can't be beat for visitors interested in historic Padua. You can walk nearly everywhere or take the tram around the corner. You'll want to reserve parking space if you arrive by car, as the tiny lot accommodates only about 4 cars. Try to plan your trip so you can leave the car parked most of the time--parking in Padua is nearly impossible, so you'll want a car only for day trips (Verona, Vicenza, and the Lake Garda region are worth a day each, and Venice is worth several days).
