We stayed in Padova for a day coming from Venice and then moved on to Bologna. The hotel has its very own unique quirky artistic style - like it or not, but it's very original indeed! We enjoyed the artworks and decoration both in the rooms and in the reception area. Wi-Fi is free and works well. We used the hotel parking garage for 10€/day which was a good solution as the city can easily be explored on foot or by bus - Basilica di Sant Antonio and Prato della Valle right next door. We can also recommend Cappella degli Scrovegni which is really worth seeing (but needs to be pre-booked).

We stayed here for 10 days. Each room is unique and had funky art work. Staff was helpful and kind. The breakfast was basic continental fare but always good. Walking distance from st Anthony's basilica and the Prato Della Valle. Highly recommended.

We pre-booked the Hotel Al Fagiano for a 2 night stay so we could visit the Capella Scrovegni and a day trip to Venice. We arrived by train and as we had pre-purchased the Padua Card, it was very easy to catch the tram just outside the train station to the hotel. This hotel is also ideally suited for a visit to the Basilica of St Anthony. This hotel had mixed reviews on Tripadvisor, but we found the hotel, quite unique. Our room, (the white room with balcony) on the first floor was ideal - large with a great balcony and extremely clean. We thought that it may have recently been renovated. The artwork throughout the hotel was very unique and interesting. Our day trip to Venice was so easy from Padua. OUr stay here far exceeded our expectations, not only the sights, but more particularly this hotel.

Quite a strange hotel which is stacked with very weird artwork, situated within a few yards of the Basillica and ideal for exploring Padova. The room was very pleasant and had a decent and very clean en-suite and the staff were friendly and helpful. Our only complaint was €7 for a pretty poor and basic breakfast, we didn't bother after the first day and found much better value elsewhere. Would have rated 4 star if it had been ok or better value.

Stayed 4 nights from the 31/5 & would recommend ! Our room was at the front on the hotel, light & airy, everything you need & spotlessly cleaned on a daily basis. Beds really comfortable with lovely crisp cotton sheets & good pillows - a huge bonus. Reception most helpful when needed breakfast was good with plenty of fresh fruit & croissants & lovely coffee. Lovely & peaceful area at night so slept well, artwork was unusual & fun to look at! Quite a unique place in an excellent location , tram stop 200m away, Basillica just around the corner all in all a great place. If we're ever in Padua again this will be our base

This is a small hotel only steps from both St. Anthony Basilica and the tram. Room was very clean, bathroom bright, and Alfred could not have been nicer. We had not previously stayed at a two star spot, but for anyone comfortable with three stars, this will do! Padua was a surprisingly enjoyable place to spend two nights, and merits more than the six hours Rick Steve's suggests.
