“Historically interesting”
Reviewed 21 September 2013

Pleasant botanical gardens. Quantity of specimens is more impressive than the gardens themselves which seemed faded during our visit. Could have been the time of year. Nice escape from the nearby crowded tourist attractions and worth a visit to see some green in the midst of the city

“nice green garden in mid city”
Reviewed 10 September 2013

We visited in much bigger and nicer botanic gardens. But this one had a wide selection of green shrubs, trees and water lillies which cool you down in the summer heat. I guess the amount of flowers depend on the season. We didn't see much but liked the way the garden is gesigned and easy to walk through.

“Nice and quiet.”
Reviewed 24 August 2013

These gardens are nice and quiet and obviously of historical significance. Worth a punt if you are nearby.

“Only of historical relevance”
Reviewed 12 August 2013

UNESCO Heritage site that was first established as a botanical garden for medicinal and rare plants in 1545. Not much to look at unless you have a special interest in medicinal plants. Costs 6 Euros to get in.
