The hotel was clean, neatly styled and staffed with friendly, attentive staff. The morning breakfast was terrific. The location was convenient to attractions and the train station. Enjoyed the visit and hope to return.

10 minutes from the railway station, and only 10 minutes on foot to the city centre or the University, is the NH Mantegna, an ultramodern hotel that will give you all you need. Well appointed rooms, grand communal spaces downstairs, and a spectacular twelfth floor restaurant. This is worth visiting, both because the view on the city centre is beautiful, and because the food and the ambience are great. The local menu - both fish and meat - is worth exploring; and you can have a good selection of great wines by the glass. Great even if you are there on business on your own.

this is more a business hotel, but it's located in a nice area: near an exhibition hall and a university campus.
you can easily arrive the train station by foot (10-15 minutes).
we actually used this location as a starting point to visit Venice during the day and did not regret it.
there's sufficient parking space.

one small comment about the quality of the bread at the breakfast: could've been bought from a bakery; as it tasted like unfrozen.
but otherwise the service is good.

there are restaurants in the city centre, and you can ask for a map from the reception desk to get yourself guided.

take your time to visit Padova as well by foot!

......how much thought they put into your comfort. Though only at medium heat there's nothing like warm towels and robes on a body. And they help dry small items like underwear.

The buffets aren't slapdash, either, really making you feel special . This hotel pampers and more!

Room Tip: Just ask for a room with a good view. Little or no noise problem as the hotel is not in a congested...

If you want to visit Venice and you are traveling by car, this is the best place to do it. I went on August 2013, and as soon as we got there, the staff were really friendly. Our room was incredible, it was on the 10th floor and really spacious. The staff gave us a map and directions to visit Padua, which is an incredible place, really pretty. The breakfast was really good, with plenty of options, but remember that European breakfasts are different of American breakfasts. The room was an amazing view. And if you go to Venice is a 1 hour drive, go there early and you can park in the first parking lot in Venice, and then travel throu Venice with the Vapporeto del Arte, if you take the regular Vapporeto you will regret it, it's really busy and lots of people.
Enjoy your stay, this is by far the best hotel I stayed in Europe!! :D

Room Tip: If you sign up for the NH hotels points card (not credit card) they give you an upgrade...but this h...

We arrived to this hotel by car and were pleasantly surprised that they had free underground parking! Anyways, here's our quick n dirty review!

Advantages:
-Free underground parking
-Established Hotel chain
-Great front desk service (speak english fluently)
-Rooms were spacious, comfortable and very clean
-Easy access to train station, where you would take one train to old venice
-Very good breakfast on the 12th floor
-A great city to stop by for a stopover
-Bathtub
-City view from the room

Disadvantage:
-On the day that we arrived there were not that many parking spots in the underground garage

Ps: don't pull the string in the bathtub!
