I would always recommend Locanda San Tomaso when staying in Treviso,it is within the ancient walls, the room was immaculately cleaned and stocked every day. The breakfast was served every day up in the loft area which is beautifully furnished with antiquities that have been in the owners family for generations. It is a good base to explore Treviso and do some shopping. The train station is on the other side of the city but a short bus trip (buy tickets at the Tabacchi shop) or taxi (they arrive regularly at the train station) will get you and your luggage there safely. It was so lovely, that I returned to their doorstep after having spent 10 days on another town, they happily accommodated me in their last free room for a few more days. There is a great cafe next door and a bar on the corner for a relaxing drink or two. I will always stay here when I visit Treviso primarily for shopping, the people are more local and very well dressed and mannered. The locanda and the area it is in represents a true picture of the real Northern Italian lifestyle away from the crowds and stress of Venice.

Room Tip: There are not many rooms, I would stay in any room they gave me, but there are a couple that are abo...

For all the whole who are looking for a cosy place to stay while you are in Treviso or even if you want to visit Venice, this is the place to stay! Very charming rooms nicely done up including modern bathroom. Cristina and Martina are the perfect host: always ready for a nice chat, helpful in giving you advises if needed. Very fair prices. By the way for the one who would like to stay longer e.g. a month or longer there is also the option to rent a little flat. Enjoy it!

A charming little B&B with only a few rooms to rent. It was a bit difficult to find as the numbers of the streets aren't consistent and there's only a small sign hanging outside the door but it was well worth the search. The place is covered in delightful quirky antiques and artwork. Our room was well-sized with a very modern bathroom. Breakfast was great with loads of choice. Very centrally located so within an easy walking distance of the old town, some fabulous restaurants and winebars. Treviso is a beautiful city. The upstairs apartment would be wonderful if you were staying for a few nights as it is roomy and well-equiped for cooking in. Absolutely highly recommended.

Charming B and B two flights up (no lift) which is special and different. Wooden floors and beamed rooms with artwork on the walls and old rustic pieces throughout. Our beamed room faced the canal and was very cosy and clean with good lighting and good heating. A lot of thought must have gone into making it so nice.
Breakfast which is included in the 95 euro room rate was very good with excellent coffee, cold meats, cakes, cereal, yogurt, breads etc. a good choice of things that changed daily. The ladies serving at breakfast were delightful.
Wifi in the room wasn't great as we were continually losing the connection and a 10.30 check out was rather early.
Treviso is a lovely untouristy walled town, with a river and waterways, good restaurants and great shops. Like other reviewers have said it was great to come back to after the crowds in amazing Venice. Venice is about half an hour train ride ( about 15 minutes walk to the station from the B and B). Trains run very frequently but check as there is sometimes a gap between trains eg after the 9.25 train the next one is 11.02.
On Tuesday morning we left the B and B to find all the streets around it had become a huge street market selling everything, clothes, shoes, leather, food etc. great market I think it is held on Tuesday and Saturday.
We had some good dinners in Treviso in: Restaurant all' Antico Portica (5 min walk from B and B), Restaurant all'Antica Torre Da Reis (not cheap but worth it), Restaurant Antico Morer (mainly fish, also not cheap), restaurant Odeon alla Colonna (lovely setting)

Room Tip: There is a bar on the street side of the B and B so the canal side rooms would be quieter

A charming, well appointed b and b just inside the the historic walls of Treviso. Beautiful rooms and well decorated with Giuseppe's art everywhere. Received a warm greeting from owners Martina and Giuseppe. A plentiful breakfast in a beautiful setting. Treviso is a beautiful city and worth exploring. Treviso is only a half hour to Venice by train. Leave the car behind.
Would recommend the restaurant around the corner run by Martina's father. Locanda San Tomaso was a greet find.

Room Tip: Ask for room overlooking the river.

Having stayed in many b and b's throughout Italy and France, I can honestly say that one would be hard pressed to find an equal to Locanda San Tomaso. We rented the apartment on the top floor, and were so pleased with the spaciousness and comfort afforded to us. What a perfect home base to explore all of theVeneto region. The attention to detail is beyond compare. The décor of the entire residence including the landings and hallways is just fantastic. Beppe, our innkeeper, was extremely gracious, welcoming, and professional in every way. The breakfast was so delicious and varied, and the staff so attentive, that we looked forward to chatting with everyone each morning. We actually hugged and kissed everyone upon departing, and were sad to leave such a wonderful place. You'll feel right at home at Locanda SanTomaso. The music played each morning at breakfast really added a perfect touch. We cannot wait to return to this clean, comfortable and welcoming B and B the next time we visit Italy. Rick and Judy

Locanda San Tomaso is a well designed small hotel above a set of shops at the edge of Treviso centre. All of the centre is within easy walking distance. Rooms a very nice and comfortable and great value.

Room Tip: Rooms on the east side are quieter as there is a bar on the other corner next to the city gate
