Stayed here for 1 night and was pleased with the service offered Located out of the tourist trap we had a room on the 1st floor. Kind of small but with all we needed. Nice front desk service and good breakfast. Would certainly come back.

We had an amazing stay here. The staff emailed me directions which really helped as we arrived in the dark and thick fog! Super location, quiet and authentic = true Venice. The staff were lovely and recommended local restaurants which were perfect. I would not hesitate to recommend this hotel and Venice - it blew my socks off......

We stayed at this hotel for 3 nights. The staff were very friendly and helpful and spoke good English.

The room was very spacious (which is a plus in Italy) with views over the rooftops.

Location: It is quite close to the train station and cruise ship terminal which is why we picked it. It does not overlook the canal but the upside is it is quiet and good value for money. We did get lost a few times on our way back from the Rialto bridge.

There was a good selection of food at the buffet.

You could only use wifi on the breakfast lounge floor which was a little inconvenient.

Overall, a good value hotel with friendly helpful staff and a spacious comfortable room. Would recommend (if you don't want a canal view hotel).

We agree strongly with all the previous reviews. Just want to emphasize that the hotel staff members are extremely knowledge and helpful. My husband got sick but Mr. Manager went out his way to help us during our stay. He should get the top J.D. Power Customer Satisfaction Award. We picked this hotel intentionally since we want to explore Venice on foot from one end to the other. Glad we did. There are signs on the walls guided us from the hotel to St. Mark’s Square and back. It was a fascinating experience.

Spent 3 nights at this hotel in November 2013

The hotel is stylish, quiet, provides free wifi and offers an excellent breakfast. We have found it an ideal base to discover venice both on foot and by boat

Staff speak perfect English which makes arrival easier

We walked from the station upon arrival in venice took 5 to 10 minutes (and this was in the dark) by Venetian standards not too difficult to find you just have to be confident along the narrow alleyways

Hotel is only 2 minutes walk from the riva di biasio riverboat stop

As others have said there is no big hotel sign outside the building, however there are a couple of big planters outside the front door.

Highly recommended and we would use this hotel again

Beautiful hotel located about 5 -7 min walking if you know where you are going from the stations. Nice quiet spot just a minute away from the common path. A few fantastic spots to eat very close by. Hotel staff were amazing and helful. The breakfast buffet was great. The rooms were big and clean and pretty. The washroom was big too. No complaints at all. Arriving at night might be tough to find as this hotel has no real sign for it out front. That's big at least. Venice is a maze. Enjoy.

I decided to book into this hotel after reading the other reviews. I was highly impressed.
Great staff, super bed, well decorated room, free wi fi, good breakfast, easy walk from bus/train station, close to vaporetto stop.
The other plus is that it is in a quiet location which is a relief from rubbing shoulders with the tourist masses in the more popular spots.
No bar in the hotel but there are a few local bars nearby.
A very good restaurant nearby in Calle Larga dei Bari 1103 (Antica Trattoria - Pizzeria alla Ferrata) which did a very reasonable (and tasty) tourist menu of spaghetti bolognese followed by a pork steak for only 16 euros. In Venice that is great value.

Official Description (provided by the hotel):
The Hotel Ca Zusto Venice is an ancient patrician palace of the fourteenth century in a noble and sophisticated style just a few steps from the Grand Canal. Thanks to the skilful conservative renovation, the building has been restored to its former glory, when Venice was a crossroads between East and West. The result is a boutique hotel, unique and innovative from all points of view: from the comfort of which it disposes to the design of the interiors which reaches its highest expression in the only 22 rooms of the hotel. Each one of them is exclusive and unique. High tech equipments integrate themselves within ancient and aristocratic spaces, creating strong contrasts, the true expressive sign of the whole building. Curtains and brocades, precious bedspreads and the ceilings with ancient beams stand out of different tones of color. Everyone clearly feels the inspiration from Byzantine atmospheres. The service is 4 stars, with great attention to each detail and thought to satisfy every desire, in the name of the Italian hospitality. The Hotel Ca Zusto Venice is a little jewel to be lived and discovered in the historic heart of Vernice. From the "Basilica della Salute" on the Grand Canal to the small canals all around the "Teatro La Fenice" or between Piazza San Marco and the Rialto Bridge, a traditional gondola tour is ideal to appreciate some of the most beautiful settings of Venice. ... more   less
