If you are looking for a quiet, clean and simple place with a great location then this is the perfect choice. They serve an average breakfast and our room was large enough for 3 people. Nice little rooftop terrace too!

Comfortable, quiet room with comfortable bed at a great price, especially for Venice, on an unfrenzied-by-tourists canal in a nice, quiet location, ideal for sight-seeing. Hosts Nello, his brother and Tatiana are all friendly and helpful.

Prepare to get lost in Venice, which we did with gusto. Having a local cell phone was essential as without it, we would never have found this lovely spot. The room is tiny as was the bathroom, but everything worked including the air conditioner which was a nice surprise. Breakfast was a nice opportunity to meet with fellow travelers, and the rooftop terrace just outside our room was lovely added space. The location near Ponte Accademia was actually quite convenient. Casa di Sara is a good value in an expensive city, but the essential night time experience would have been missed had we stayed elsewhere and day-tripped in as clearly many do.

If you follow these instructions exactly, you might find the hotel without other assistance...
From Accademia bridge, keep to the right side
proceed to Maravegie bridge, cross bridge
continue to Fondamenta de la toletta.
After the bank, turn left at first possibility (do not cross the bridge).
Cross the bridge in front of you and turn left again .
After 50 meters there is the hotel.

Room Tip: Upper floors are closer to the rooftop terrace and away from noise.

Casa di Sara is a charming B&B and so is Tatiana who made breakfast every morning; I enjoyed her company. It is set back off the street and is nice and quiet. I enjoyed the artwork all around. It was easy to come and go and I was give my own key to the entry gate and felt very secure. A very, very nice place, run by nice people.

Venice, high season, but I was still shocked at the price €600.00 plus tax for two nights of just so so accommodation. We had the ground floor room ( large with a small ensuite) next to the stairs
And front door, so we heard everyone coming and going, and had the benefit of smokers outside our windows.
1. It's not easy to find and scanned map would have made a big difference, but I suppose we met the neighborhood asking the way!
2. NO frills. No tissues, no tea making facilities in the room, no heating, (and we had one cold wet day) that we could turn on, no local information of any sort about food, museums, post offices.
3.A couple of floor rugs would have been great, on cold days the marble floors are freezing.
4. Breakfast, Very light.
5. Position, away from the madness of Summer in Venice in a quiet and charming neighborhood.
Most helpful, Tatiana, the part time receptionist who does the breakfasts.

Great rooms at a pretty good location, very quiet, good value for the money. Venice is expensive so do not expect luxury accommodation, but the place has its charm - it's decoration is subtle but very precise, every second you feel that you are in sunny Italy and in a beautiful Venice.
The hostess was very helpful and accommodating and do not hesitate to make an extra step to help their guests: the day of our departure we had to surrender our room by noon, so we packed early and left for a day wandering into the Venice only to get completely soaked and frozen by sudden downpour. Not just the lady let us occupy a temporary available room where we could warm up and change but provided us with hot tea and snacks which completely overturned our misery. Awesome place, would definitely stay there again.

Room Tip: First-floor room with an entrance through the garden is just a marvel - sitting at a small table by...

Overall, overpriced, and overrated. We had a double room on the top floor. The bed was pushed against the wall, as the room was so small. The only pieces of furniture was a small chair and tiny table. We booked an ensuite room, but this facility was very poor too, with a sliding door into the toilet half way up the wall, accessible by 2 giant steps that were about 50 cm high. The shower was the accessible by climbing around 60 cm high, and sat at the toilet seat height. The sink sat in the bedroom itself, and encourages mosquitoes . We have around 100 bites. You could hear other residents in their rooms, and the noise of doors opening and closing was enough to wake everyone up. The breakfast was poor, by usual standards, and was boring. There was no facility to obtain a drink other than the one cup of coffee offered with breakfast. The host was absent most of the time, it was not like a usual b&b's. can not fault the cleanliness or the location. But at over 100 euros a night I did expect a better service.
