Recommended by Venetians, this garden restaurant has all the expected items on the menu, which will be brought to your table by congenial, but perhaps rather bored waiters. Yet the food is quite good--pasta, chicken, or fish--you won't be disappointed, and when you put this restaurant within the context of the broader selection of restaurants near San Marco, it is actually a gem. It is also family-friendly, which is a good thing if you're bringing your children (and also a warning to those people that may have left their children at home for a welcome respite). An interesting selection of wines, and excellent desserts make this a restaurant that is, overall, an above-average experience for weary travelers in Venice.
