This was a wonderful place to stay, away from the crowds in Venice. Everything about the apt was as stated. There was plenty of room for our family of 4 to enjoy 2 very full days and 3 nights here. We would love to save up and visit again someday.
Very pleasant, canal side apartment in walking distance of main tourist attractions without being in the busiest area. Handy for food shopping and vaparetto stop. Kitchen facilities for simple self-catering saved us money and gave us a cool retreat in the hottest part of the day. A broken kitchen knife was promptly replaced during our stay.
The view on the canal from the windows is so nice and typical! Perfectly located, near attractions, grocery, nice little places and square to enjoy a "spritz" with and like the LOCALS. Quiet area after the crowds places and visits done during the day, it was good to relax at the apartment.
The owner is very helpful having somebody to meet us at the water taxi to help us to find the apartment. Michele is very helpful and easy to contact during our stay to get arrangement to leave our luggages for our last day, after check out. We'll visit again and will recommend to our friends. Mille grazie Michèle!

Ca' Guistina is a small ground floor apartment beside the canal, a short walk from the Ospedale Vaporetto stop, at the end of a narrow dead-end lane. In addition to the kitchen and bath, there are two rooms, each with sleeping accommodation for two. The larger bedroom has two windows opening onto the canal which, even in mid-August, did not smell unpleasant; the canal is only a hundred meters or so from the open lagoon and, in fact, the water and ground floor location helped keep the apartment cool. The neighbourhood, near the lagoon and at one end of Venice, means that it is well away from the tourist trail, the tourist tat, and the restaurant touts: it is a real Venetian neighbourhood where cats lounge in the local square at midday. There is also a good supermarket nearby, near the vaporetto stop, which means one needn't spend all of one's money on restaurants.
The only complaint we had was that the kitchen was not well-equipped: there was, for example, not a single sharp knife to be found.
