Small hotel just some 5 minutes from Piazza San Marco. Room was clean, big enough for a small family (3 beds). Breakfast below average (breakfast room and selection). Good Hotel for sightseeing tourists.

Dear Guest,

Thank you for sharing your kind comments about your stay at the Hotel Ai due Principi. Yes, our hotel is situated in a good location for sightseeing touristsit, in fact it is closed to the main attraction and also heart of Venice: St. Mark's Square. But our hotel is perfect for those who are researching a quiet place to spend a relaxing and romantic stay, here in Venice. The location is off the beaten track in a real quiet area indeed. Please come and visit us again next time you are in Venice!

Best regards,

Deborah

This small boutique hotel is very centrally placed, clean and comfortable. We stayed there for only one night before a cruise. The bed was very comfortable and the shower was like nothing we had experienced before with extraordinary water pressure and so many intriguing water outlets! You will have to stay there to understand what I mean! We did not find the toileteries until we were leaving when we discovered them hidden behind a panel by the mirror over the basin! The breakfast was a well presented standard buffet. This hotel is in a quiet location but is quite difficult to find. If you are taking a water taxi from the airport get dropped off at the "Monument" stop (Vitorrio Emanuelle Momunment). Turn and walk to your left for about 100 yds then turn right towards the hotel in front of you and look for a grey concrete archway. It looks a bit like a small alleyway leading nowhere but has the word "Caribinere" written over it also San Zacarria. Go under the archway and down the alley, bear left at the small square then take the first right (by the canal bridge) and the hotel is 100 yds on your right. You will recognise it by a flag pole as it is easy to miss! This is an short easy route to take with luggage as there are no steps to climb.

an excellent hotel, with a great staff. The rooms are always clean, and they're just like the site photos (and it's one of the few hotels in Venice that have an elevator!). The breakfast is really good, with fresh products. All the staff are always available and ready to answer any question you have. The location are exceptional, a 2 minutes walk to get to San Marcos plaza.

We stayed recently at this hotel for 2 nights. We found it to be a lovely little boutique hotel. The staff were friendly and courteous and spoke English quite well. Our room was clean and very comfortable. The shower had great water pressure (which was something we didn't get everywhere in Italy) and was hot. My only complaint with the shower was that the shower curtain didn't reach the floor so that a lot of water ended up in the bathroom. The bed was very comfortable. We loved the breakfast served every morning and there were lots of choices, sometimes too many! The location was very good with just a short walk to St. Marks Square and many other attractions. We enjoyed the courtyard for a glass of wine before we headed out to dinner and Michal (from the front desk) had lots of great information for us. Would stay here again!

Room Tip: Our room was on the backside and was quiet.

we booked a junior suite at the hotel a week before we traveled. On the website was written a junior suite includes a porch overlooking the canal, i had called the hotel 24 hrs before to ensure that we indeed had a porch and as i was travelling with a baby asked them to make sure a baby bed was in the room. we arrived at 11pm very tired after our journey all i wanted to do was put down the baby but alas no babybed was to be found and had to wait half hour until they had one available, next my husband wanted air and looked high and low for a porch alas there was none when i asked why they replied it was a mistake on the website and infact there is only 1 junior suite with a porch but our room is nicer then the one with the porch! yeh right!!!!! hair in the bathtub !! it was written a king size bed it was not anything of the sort it was 2 matresses put together!! no kettle in the bedroom and this is a 4 star hotel?????!!!! we were ripped off a fortune. after complaining to the manager who could not be called only between 1 and 8 pm ( what kind of manager is that???), they understood we were upset and instead of taking down the overpriced amounght charged thery sent orange juice upto the bedroom!!! what a horrible vacation!!! you must read reviews before booking anything!

We stayed for one wonderful night at the hotel. It was fantastic. The rooms were beautiful, the service was top-notch, the road on which the hotel sits is stunning. At every stage the staff went beyond themselves to be helpful. We even received a free upgrade of our room! This is a beautiful hotel. We warmly recommend it.
