I cannot find any fault about this hotel. Ignore the negative comments about paying for wifi why do you need wifi when in such a magical place !!!!
We spent a wonderful two nights here very spacious room and fab bathroom. The staff were very friendly and helpful and one thing that I noticed was how friendly the manager was , he seemed to treat guests as if they were long lost friends and was more than willing to help.
Be sure to enjoy a meal or a drink on the terrace and enjoy the peace and quiet of the lagoon or the delightful sounds coming from the gondolas either one is a delightful experience.
The hotel is also situated in a great spot , away from all the crowds but within easy reach of the top places to visit. I only hope that I get to stay at this hotel again for me there would not be anything to match it.

This hotel is right by the nr. 1 or 2 vaporetto close to the Salute station. The train station is about 30 min away and St Marks's Square only 1 stop away. Disappointed that we had to pay 4 euros at a 4star hotel for 1hour of Internet that was not working well and was slow. The rooms are clean and modern. The bathroom is spacious and their breakfast was fresh and delicious. Sometimes you can get a seat outside and have breakfast al fresco with a beautiful view. The staff was nice and accommodating except for the lady that checked us in on August 18th at 1:30-2pm. She had a little bit of a superior attitude and didn't make us feel welcome 100%. Other than that this hotel is nice and even has a tiny fitness room. Oh and they charge a 10 Euro per night city tax which is more than we've ever been charged for city tax.

My wife and I stayed at the Centurion Palace hotel for 4 nights in Aug 2013. It was my wife's significant Birthday so we were hoping the hotel lived up to the reports. The hotel did and we enjoyed our stay. The staff were friendly and helpful, breakfast was lovely with a small balcony onto the grand canal. The room was well equipped with good roof top views and kept very clean throughout our stay. For a city centre hotel the room size was acceptable if not luxurious. If you want a hotel close to everything, very modern interior but just outside the madness of the tourist spots I would recommend the Centurion Palace. The main criteria is if you like modern interiors with beautiful old exteriors then this is the hotel for you. Plus the free water taxi across the grand canal at 19:30 or 20:30 very handy. Don't miss out on private water taxi from/to the Airport from the hotel whilst expense worth the money only 30mins of Venice scenery and fast power boat!

Stayed at the centurion palace for a 3 night break in July with my partner for a romantic break , the staff were wonderful from the moment we arrived by private boat helped us with our cases , checked us in to our room very quickly. Room was amazing and nice touch as bottle of sparkling wine on ice and glasses waiting for us. Had a few drinks in bar very good service and had an amazing meal in the restaurant the first night , the table was outside and the views were amazing. The food was top quality and the waiter that served us was very friendly and very attentive food was quite expensive but 5star hotel and worth it. We loved our room and the breakfast included was very good quality and good choice of breakfast items . We found all staff very nice and friendly, very helpful . Location of hotel was great away from hustle and bustle but not too far to walk to bars and restaurants . We would love to return to this hotel

After reading other reviews I was expecting a fabulous experience. However, I must admit that I feel slightly disappointed, especially considering the money I paid for the hotel. The room was small, I mean very small. The big terrace adjacent to the room only slightly made up for it. bathroom was really poorly designed. The gold effect walls were pealing off under plastic panels due to water damage and to cover it up, they were painted gold in places. Very shabby job. On our final day the lift was out of service. We were dragging our suitcases 3 floors down and even though two members of staff passed by, they did not offer help.
On the other hand, we liked the lobby and the breakfast, as we managed to secure a table outside by the canal. Door and reception desk staff were very nice and knowledgeable about the area. Turn down service with complimentary chocolates and weather forecast for the following day were a very nice touch.
Overall, it was not a bad hotel, however for the price I expected more attention to detail that makes your stay a 5 star experience.

A stunning hotel in a wonderful discreet location, within sight of St. Mark's but not surrounded by the tourists. The decor is the best of modern interior design, warm and thoughtful. The staff were tip top and always there when you called. The only thing that I would say was not so perfect was the restaurant. Our table on the deck was magical but the food was somehow either too bland or too experimental and never quite right. That's a bummer, because they're really trying.

All in all though this goes down as one of our all time favorite hotel experiences.

Room Tip: Obvious, I know, but you won't regret paying extra for a canal-side view.

for us it was the perfect location to celebrate the new year. Although we did not join the hotel's new year party, we enjoyed a very nice new year's evening (first we went to a concert) and than we stayed in our room and on the balcony. As mentioned before, the party was in full drive, but it was quite in our room.
The service was very friendly and professional. Reception, Restaurant, Housekeeping - everybody had just the right amount attentiveness!
Breakfast is really good (not very Italian), fresh fruits, yoghurt, cereals, bread, ham, cheese.... and of cause wonderful espresso.
The contemporary styled rooms and bath room are very attractive and leave no wishes open. Standard rooms are a bit small (but this seems to be a general problem in Venice).
the fitness center is a bit small and hidden in the "last corner" of the hotel.

Room Tip: If you want to have a quiet room, chose one not facing the channel.
