“Ideal place to stay in Venice”
Reviewed 31 December 2013

Could not have found a better spot to enjoy a long weekend in Venice.. The central location on the canal made it the perfect base to see the city by water and on foot.. Arriving by Water Taxi from the airport is a must :) Rooms were great and breakfast / evening drinks overlooking the Grand Canal made this hotel extra special. Service was excellent. The hotel lends itself to a feeling of modern luxury and yet also privacy without loosing Venetian charm; It's easy reach of water taxis, tourist attractions, restaurants, galleries and shopping ensured we made the most of our stay and fell in love with Venice !

Stayed here in July as part of our honeymoon and this hotel was the highlight of Venice

Staff could not have been more friendly or helpful if they tried.

Breakfast buffet was great, room was great....everything was great.

Highly recommended and would definitely stay again if we visited Venice again

We stayed at the Centurion Palace at the end of November, everything about the hotel was perfect. The hotel is a beautiful old palace with modern decor, our room was lovely, even the bathroom was stunning with golden walls. The staff were all very welcoming and friendly, the service impeccable. The bar and dining room overlook the Grand Canal, which made eating there extra special. The buffet breakfast was excellent with plenty of choice, including prosecco. We've stayed at other hotels in Venice but this is our favourite - we are already talking about returning!

You can't go to Venice for part of your honeymoon and not have high expectations. It's the city of love so we were anxious to see if our very expensive hotel and room choice ( overlooking the Grand Canal in a Junior Suite at 800 euro a night!) would stand the test. Wow! We arrived in the pouring rain by water taxi to the front door and from the moment we stepped inside we knew this was going to be perfect. The staff were very friendly and we were escorted to our room. The moment the manager opened the door our mouths dropped as we gazed at the two levels and saw the stunning floor to ceiling views from the 2 balconies. We were so glad we chose this hotel over the Gritti Palace ( which sits opposite). The only letdown was a very tiny exercise room but that's to be expected in most European hotels. The location is great - quiet but adjacent to most of the places of interest with a public water taxi stop less than a minute walk. The free breakfast was great and the staff were always generous with their time. We'd stay here again in a heartbeat.

Room Tip: If you can afford it go for the extra cost of a room overlooking the canal. To throw open the window...

The hotel blends in a charming way the palacial architecture with modern interior design. Rooms are warmly decorated with fresh colors and imaginative furniture. Very convenient location and lovely views from the "Canale grande view suits". Staff is helpful and services - impeccable. What you should not miss is a dinner or lunch in the restaurant. The restaurant itself may not impress you much, but the food ..... real delight! I tasted the best fish meal I ever tried in my life here. Same for the service in restaurant - impeccable. I recommend trying it, a must in Venice!

Room Tip: Canale grande view

This venitian palazo is just wonderfull and perfectly localed close to every attractions of venice but in a not too touristy area (dorsoduro is the best to stay follow in me)

I loved the mix of ancient heritage and contempory decoration of the public areas and rooms. The staff was just super nice, specially Barbara Who assisted us in perfect frensh.

We had a bi level suite with a stunning view over the Grand Canal and a lot of spaces... While taking a shower I discovered also an amayzing view on the roofs of venice and the Church of the opposite Island... Wow, What an amayzing moment when we drank our proseco in the living room, the tall windows open seeing the gondolas, water taxi and vaporeti crossing each others with palazos in the background.

What a pleasure to be able to reach other parts of venice with the vaporeto That stops at "salute" 50m from the hotel.

After dinner some step away (at la piscina, nice local food in typical italian kind of chic atmosphere for a really reasonable price) I took a last grappa at the hotel terrace over viewing the canal... Just superb.

In the morning we were pleased with a nice buffet breakfast with bubbles in the white dinning room overlooking the canal..

Wow wow wow... Honnestly it worth it. We Will be back

Room Tip: November is perfect to get good rate (250 superior room)

The Hotel is beautifull and has the best location. But the staff is really rude. Me and my husband went there for our honeymoon, and were expecting a diferent service. We ask the front table to take a look at our air condicioner and they sended someone who said to us, and i quote: "If you´re hot, you can open the window".
At breakfast, if you order some fresh juice, they say its finish, that they don´t have oranges to make it. Can you believe? I Do not recomend.

Room Tip: don´t stay there.
