“Good location”
Reviewed 26 June 2014

Hotel is in a good location, especially if you arrive at Pzzle Roma, only 2 bridges interrupt the 10mins walk. Hotel is old and needs a good revamp. Room was clean but small, bathroom clean but small, especially the shower. Floor had a crack and you could feel sort of a slight ramp when walking in the room, other cracks on the floor in common parts noted too. Had a problem with wardrobe hanging doors in room 110. kept coming out of their place each time you touch them. Bfast is continental. Reception staff were helpful. 20mins walk to Rialto or San Marco, but prefer that as san marco and realto area very crowded. We liked the hard mattress.

Room Tip: Room 110 on 1st floor overlooked the garden/bfast area, very quiet.

Great little hotel, very helpful staff, nothing is too much trouble. Even though we were only there for one night, we had a beautiful room overlooking the canal. Good breakfast. The bus station is a short walk but is difficult with heavy cases as there are a few bridges. A water taxi is much easier as it can pick up immediately outside.

We stayed here in April - ideal location, an easy walk from bus station. Nice restaurants nearby, friendly staff and a plentiful breakfast all for a very moderate price. Not luxurious but clean and central.

We had the pleasure of staying here for two nights. The room was a spacious, clean and came with a view of the canal. #301

The staff is incredibly helpful and nice.

The location is a 10 minute walk from the train station. Nice area.

I would stay here again.

This is my third stay in Venice. I chose this hotel as we were travelling on to Rome via Florence using the trains. We arrived by bus (No5 ACTV from Marco Polo) at Piazzale Roma, which is a short enough walk with hand luggage; if you have a lot of luggage to carry then maybe get a water taxi to the front door. The walk to S Lucia train station was also a short hop. The hotel was easy to find and check-in swift and friendly. We were given a room with an amazing view of the canal, which was lucky as contrary to belief, not every window in Venice overlooks water. Rooms are typically small in Venice but the double height ceiling gave the illusion of space. I would stay here again, without hesitation, it was delightful.

Tips:Grab some cicchetti from Bacareto Da Lele, which you pass on your way in from the bus station, and wash it down with a 1E glass of prosecco. A bargain in Venice. Buy your bus ticket combined with a vaporetto pass from the machines at the airport (cash not card), it saves a few Euro and you are ready to plunge onto the canal routes as soon as you've checked in. PS A 24hr pass lasts 24hrs, not just the remainder of the day as is the case in many cities.

This was an average European hotel. The room rate was a bit high for the actual room. Room was clean but small and a VERY small bathroom. We were not in the room much so it was fine. The breakfast was very good. The staff was nice. Service was good and friendly. We liked the location as it is in a quiet neighborhood but short walking distances to the main attractions and the train station.

This hotel offered us free breakfast buffet but no free wifi. Overall it had spacious lobby and common areas. We were upgraded to a canal view which offered a view during the day and at night over the canal which was outstanding. Close to the bus station, train station (Ferrovia), and while we were there the hotel offered tips on how to get around and when were the best times to ride a Gondola. Very helpful staff.
