We spent 4 nights in Venice and we had dinner here twice. That tells you how much we enjoyed eating here. The staff were very friendly and welcoming. I don't speak Italian, but they loved that I made the effort when ordering. The wine and the food were good. It is not Michelin star food, but the flavours were great. it was good local food. The portions were plentiful and we truly enjoyed it. As we visited in February, it was not very busy and not warm enough to sit outside in the evening. Good location and great for a complete meal without breaking the bank. Really recommend it and you do probably need to book a table in high season.

Had a late lunch here having only just arrived in Venice, so didn't need a huge meal.
The waiter was very friendly and helpful with his descriptions of the available pizzas.
We shared 2 pizzas between four of us and that was plenty, the crusts where nice and crispy and the toppings full of flavour. Ideal for a light inexpensive lunch.

We needed somewhere for dinner before going to a concert in the church in the same square as this restaurant, and decided on Ristorante San Stefano. It was our last night in Venice, so we felt we could spend a little more, and "get rid of our euros". We went for the 'tourist menu' which we would normally avoid like the plague, but this one was quite appealing. For 24 euros each, we could have a starter, a main, and a dessert. That might sound a lot of money but when you consider some restaurants are charging that much for JUST A PASTA DISH, it puts it into perspective a bit. (Venice is a rip off in general, so by this point, we just wanted good food, and that's what you'll find here). I ordered the spaghetti pomodoro for a starter, followed by calamari for my main dish which was accompanied by a large tasty salad, and then gelato for dessert. All delicious. My husband had the vegetable soup for starter, followed by the chicken, also with a big salad, and the tiramisu for dessert.
All in all, a lovely last meal before the concert and before leaving Venice. Our waiter was really nice and chatty, and was more than happy to recommend which dishes to opt for. Wish we had eaten here earlier on in our trip!

Wife and I found this place on our last night in Venice, and couldn't have asked for a better meal.

I got the lasagne, which was probably the best I've ever had. Wife got the cannelloni which was also really good. We ordered tiramisu for dessert and the waiter gave us a questionable look so we asked his suggestion. He said his favorite was the amaretto mousse so we ordered both. Oh man, what a great call! We both loved the mousse, it was fantastic and easily better than the tiramisu (which was still very good).

All in all we ordered a full bottle of Prosecco, caprese salad, the two entrees and two desserts and ended up paying 76 Euro. That is a good deal in my book when compared to our US prices for a similar meal. Add in the ambiance and waiter, and it was a steal in our books!

Great and quick service from friendly staff :) The food came very fast, the pizza could have been better but the pasta was good and they gave me a lot of cheese on it. Would eat here again!
