“Many spots, stop here”
Reviewed 4 August 2012

We stopped here for a drink and a quick bite to eat. Atmosphere was great; service was efficient and pleasant. There are many places to stop to break in Venice, and we would recommend this one. The staff (likely family-run) were serious about their business and the importance of looking after clients. Can't say that for all restaurants in Venice!

“Good food in Venice”
Reviewed 29 July 2012

These days it is very difficult to find a reasonably priced restaurant in Venice with good food. Nevertheless, we were pleased with our completely random selection of this restaurant near San Polo. We ordered three pasta dishes including the classic Venetian spaghetti neri con seppie, and they were all very very good. My husband raved about the black spaghetti. We also ordered a grilled pork chop; it had good flavor, but it was too dry. The house red wine was very nice, and the service was extremely cordial and professional. Sadly, there was very little "Venetian cuisine" on the menu--but this seems standard for Venice in general. Indeed, I had a conversation with our hostess about this change over the past few years. Overall, I recommend this restaurant.

“Great place to eat in Venice”
Reviewed 12 March 2011

We stumbled on this place while walking around San Polo. The owner was very energetic and before the place filled up he offered to take pictures of the couples there. It's the only picture my husband and I had together in Venice that we did not have to solicit. The service was prompt. The spaghetti arrabiata my husband had and the spaghetti Nero Di seppia that I had were both very good. Highly recommended.
