What a teriffic find in Dimora Marciana. A wonderful little hotel off the beaten path but close enough to walk anywhere you want to go. Most impressive was the staff from the moment you walk in until the moment you leave. We loved Roxanne and everyone who made us feel so welcome and so at home. I hope we can return one day.

Stayed here during our first trip to Venice and couldn't have asked for more. Great price, lovely decor (very Venetian), spotlessly clean and with friendly staff. Ok the rooms are a little small but the positives far outweigh that. Highly recommend

We stayed at Dimora for a couple of nights in June. The location of the hotel is excellent, with San Marco just a 5 minute walk away. Our room, though very nicely done up, was smaller than our expectation - though we realized later that rooms in Venice tend to be much smaller in general. The hotel and the room were neat and tidy, and the bathroom was the right size. The breakfast was simple but adequate. The hotel service was impeccable too. The room had a couple of windows, but there was no interesting view.

We found the Dimora to be a bit steeply priced, though again - this seems to be a norm in Venice. Overall, it was a very pleasant stay and we would definitely recommend it to others.

Location is ideal if you want to be near Piazza San Marco, it's quiet and aircon was strong . A big plus when you're in Venice during June/July/August. Heat maybe tolerable but the humidity is a killer. Our room has no view but the room size, strong aircon ,central location and the quietness makes up for it. Owners Daniel and Manuel are super friendly, also the gal and the night person who work there(too bad I didn't get their names). We had a quad room with a separate bedroom for the kids.Paid cash to get a better rate which is no big deal since there was an ATM nearby. Definitely will stay her again next time we're in Venice.

My wife and I stayed for only 2 nights in June 2013 along with our small children (9 and 7). The room was great - with modest AC for the Venice heat. The bathroom was not too small, and everything was clean and nice. Breakfast was good, too. The best part of the stay was the staff. They were wonderful - everyone made us feel welcome and comfortable. I would definitely stay there again next time I/we visit Venice.

I have high expectations, and am often disappointed by the reality of what you get compared to what info you get when booking somewhere online. But this small hotel did not disappoint - in fact it was better than I expected in most everyway.
It was in a great location, 2 mins from San Marco Piazza and grand canal. It also had decent size double rooms (esp for old European city like Venice, known for it's cosy rooms) with top notch fixtures and fittings, sound proof walls and a fully equipped en suite - all recently decorated in traditional Venetian style.
En suite bathroom was extremely clean and modern - shower was great.
Hotel also had free wifi, really effective air con, a safe, plenty of wardrobe space and a really good continental breakfast included in the room price.
The service was also top notch - room was cleaned daily, and toiletries re-stocked, they also helped book tours, give advice on places to go, shopping, restaurants etc... always friendly and smiling.
Compared to other similar priced hotels I looked at, I thought it was fantastic (others appeared to have smaller rooms, shared bathrooms, were not in San Marco, and had very mixed reviews).
my only feedback, would be that the pillows were quite thin... but easily corrected by using two!
Would absolutely recommend and use again.

We stayed in a junior suite - 4 persons. This was large and very comfortable. Breakfast is served in the room. Centrally located, easy walking around Venice. Gondola ride 50 meters away. Very pleasant
