Stayed here for 3 nights for my 21st and I have nothing to fault I had an amazing stay.. the hotel itself wasn't hard to find as I have seen other people say in their reviews. I have to thank one of the staff tiberio he made my stay one to remember very helpful and friendly and the hotel upgraded us into a beautiful suite.

I would advise people booking to purchase one of their extra packages they offer with the room, breakfast was great with a great variety to choose from.
If you are looking for somewhere to stay which is close to the centre this is the place just a walk away from rialto bridge and san marco square.

I will definitely be coming back to ad place 10 out of 10 for me

Definitely a good idea to get proper directions to this hotel before attempting to find it if you're not familiar with Venice. Once we arrived we were pleasantly surprised by the rooms, which are colorful and quirky to say the least. Its in a good location close to San Marco, but also an easy walk to the Rialto bridge and the Accademia bridge.

Staff was very friendly and helpful and the included breakfasts were what you would expect.
At one point my wife and I thought we were the only guests in the hotel, but in reality it was nearly fully booked. While there are only 12 rooms, they are well set apart so we hardly knew anyone else was there.

This place is amazing, my partner booked it for a birthday surprise so I had no idea what to expect. we had a private taxi boat from the airport direct to the hotel and were welcomed by two members of staff outside the hotel entrance to help us off the boat and to take out luggage I found this welcome very helpful and memorable. The whole hotel is very quirky from top to bottom I felt like I had walked into Aladdin's cave. Our room had a four poster bed in a good size room, the wardrobe space was good and we weren't overlooked by any other buildings which made it feel more private. Our bathroom was also nice good size and had everything you need.

The hotel has a little terrace at the top of the hotel with wonderful views, we sat up here and had a few pre drinks and nipples that the staff brought up for us before we went out each evening and not once did we see anyone else it almost felt like our little private terrace in Venice, this was a wonderful touch to the trip, also were the hotel is situated seems to be next to the bit of river where all the gondola singers sing on there trips, so each morning getting ready it was lovely to hear it going on in the background and whilst we were on the terrace before going out we could here it as well, magical is the only word to describe the experience.

Each morning we had breakfast delivered to the room for no extra charge and on the morning of my birthday it arrived with a few glasses of champagne which was lovely.

The staff couldn't do enough to help you and recommend things to suit you around the city.

Last of all the hotel is situated just out the way of all the craziness that comes with Venice but only a few corners away from St Marcs, so you can stay out the way or get involved in a matter of steps.

If you are visiting Venice make sure you give this place a try.

We stayed for 4 nights in early October.
Get clear directions before you arrive as Venice is very tricky to find tucked away hotel locations. We walked around for half an hour with suitcases! Excellent location in San Marco.
Small canal below our 3rd floor windows was enchanting especially with the gondoliers singing their way past during the day.
Room clean but reasonably small even for European standards. Rain showers are a challenge in small shower enclosures, and neither of us are overweight!
We had no hot water for 24 hours due to a failed hot water heater. Disappointing that hotel never gave us any notification of the problem and we had to go and ask, but then they made up with a discount on the bill!
Staff very welcoming and friendly.
Breakfast spread reasonable and adequate without being sensational.
Definitely a recommendation.

After much research and deliberation from tripadvisor and the internet, we decided on this hotel and it did not disappoint. Small, boutique hotel with only a max 15rooms or so (or even less).
Although the rooms are a little small, the location and interior is pretty good and there is enough space for dressing table, side tables and bed!! Not much else needed in such a city really,

You can view the small boat trips from the window.
Lovely service and we hope to visit again one day.

Nice, clean and charming little hotel but the biggest benefit of staying here is the friendliness/helpfulness of the staff in particular T and Kemal. T (didn't quite get his full name) is by far the most enthusiastic and helpful concierge we've come across and between him and Kemal they made us feel very welcome. Would recommend this hotel

We had a great hotel experience at AD Place and would highly recommend it to anyone looking for a modern boutique hotel, which is surprisingly hard to find in Venice. AD is perfectly located in the heart of San Marco - directly next to the Teatro Fenice - but is tucked away enough to avoid lots of tourist foot traffic. Much as I loved the decor and location, it was the fine customer service that made our Venetian trip special - after what could have been a ruinous start.

Upon arrival at AD Place after a full day of international travel, we were informed that the hotel had double-booked our room for the first of our four nights. Mistakes happen and we were willing to forgive the rough start when we saw the lengths the hotel went to compensate us for this inconvenience.

For starters, we were placed in a huge suite at a 5-star hotel right on the Grand Canal for the overbooked night. When we returned to AD the next day, we were not only refunded our first night's stay (mind you, at the 5-star on the Grand Canal), but we upgraded to the AD Place grand suite for the remainder of our stay. I was very impressed with how graciously the hotel management handled our situation and they ultimately ended up with two happy customers.

The superb customer service ethos was shared by the entire staff. Like another reviewer, we found Kamal to be exceptionally helpful with restaurant recommendations and in preparing our nightly cocktails at the hotel's tiny, but well-stocked, little bar. I would echo the comments about the breakfast, which goes beyond the standard breakfast fare at European hotels.

It's hard to complain about the grand suite room, but the lack of a shower was disappointing. Like all things at AD Place, the vintage bathtub was very aesthetically appealing but it was the one time where form did not follow function. A bathtub-only option does not really work for the modern traveler.

Otherwise, this place was great. Highly recommended for couples. Very romantic to hear the singing gondoliers nearby at the Teatro Fenice.
