My wife and I stayed at the Abbazia Deluxe in the month of June, everything about this place is brilliant!

Choosing the Abbazia Deluxe was easy, a great review on Trip Advisor and viewing their website. This is Boutique B&B, with all the trimmings in the rooms , our room was the junior suite over looking the Grand Canal AMAZING, the room was kitted perfectly, contemporary meets old rustic charm and the bathroom was huge with a whirlpool bath.

The staff Francesca and Giulia were so helpful, from arranging flowers for my wife, where to eat to planning your time.

We will definatley be going back!

This is a boutique B& B and not an hotel although we had use of the adjacent sister hotel. The staff, although helpful, were not always present but we did have access to the hotel staff if required. Perfectly located close to the railway station, bus station and the vaporetto stop. Whilst situated in a busy area, once inside it was a haven or peace and tranquility. Our spacious bedroom was kept spotlessly clean throughout our stay, but did suffer from a lack of storage space. Tea and coffee making facilities would have been appreciated. However, the bathroom was to die for! The staff were extremely helpful on arrival and provided a laptop for our use throughout our stay.

The breakfast served in the reception area was adequate but the poorest we had had throughout our stay in Italy. We found this B & B expensive compared to other hotels in Rome and Florence.

We decided to stay at Abbazia deluxe after doing research on Trip Advisor, the decision was also confirmed after working with the staff to verify my requests. They responded very quickly and were wonderful to work with. Originally we had only planned on being in Venice for 2 days after our cruise ended here, HOWEVER, due to the lovely Volcano exploding, we were forced to stay in Venice an additional 5 days. The staff at Abbazia were incredible! They worked with us during this time frame on the price and allowed us to stay in our original room. They assisted us with our flights and the status of the airports. The room was very nice and large, it overlooked the grand canal, which is good and bad. The good is you get to see and hear all the action, the bad is - you get to see and HEAR all the action. As the A/C was not yet turned on (the temps were still cool), we tried to leave our windows open at night. This worked most of the time. However, if we closed up the room, the soundproofing really worked. The staff recommended excellent restaurants which were not too expensive and different (one tires of pizza and pasta all the time). The breakfast is just enough - not full american breakfast, but more than enough with meats, cheeses, breads, cereal, and coffee. The location is perfect for the train station, the bus station, and the vaporetto stops right outside. If we ever wind up in Venice again we will be sure and stay at Abbazia Deluxe!

Had booked junior suite but was pleasantly surprised to be upgraded to THE SUITE which accommodated 2 adults and 1 child in a very large stylish room with views from 4 windows of the grand canal. Very easy walking distance with luggage from railway station (about 100 metres). Staff very helpful with carrying luggage up stairs and with information about Venice. You can have breakfast here or at the Hotel Abbazia. We chose to have it at the Hotel Abbazia because it was earlier although we missed out the 2nd morning because we had an early train departure. Very quiet hotel even though so close to railway station.
Can't wait to stay here again as we loved Venice.

A discrete entry off a busy little alley led into this beautifully decorated bed and breakfast. Modern clean design and original architecture greeted us when we arrived.

While this B&B is close to the train station you have no sense of this as you can neither see nor hear anything of it. We left Venice by train and it took us only 2 minutes on foot to get there!

Our second floor room (Superior room with canal view) looked straight out over the first of the Grand Canal bridges. The room had all the mod cons while retaining original brickwork and ceiling beams. The room was serviced daily to a high hotel standard. While this is a hustling bustling area full of people and ferries (and thus very convenient) we slept well with our windows open so as to take in the sounds and the sea air. Staff are charming and hospitable.

This well appointed bed and breakfast is certainly no tourist trap. By the way my wife could not get over the excellent bathroom and the equally excellent housekeeping.

We would certainly stay here again.

We spent a part of our honeymoon in Venice and stayed 3 nights at the Abbazia de luxe! We rented the largest suite (I think there is only one such room), which overlooks the Grand Canal and has four windows (See Photos). Try to get this room, of course if it available, and you and your loved one would be delighted!

Staff
The employee (Francesca) who welcomed us, and had been in touch with us over email, is very professional and very friendly Italian lady! She was very helpful from the start in helping to settle and also to get to know the places/destinations in Venice.

Location & Design
Two of the main reasons for choosing this hotel were its location and contemporary design. It's just off the main train station (about 150 ft/50 meters). The hotel's interior, the common lounge, and rooms are beautifully designed (See Photos). The windows open up to the grand canal and the hotel itself is above the restaurant and near the shopping streets.

Breakfast
You have three choices for breakfast location. You either have your breakfast in your room (at a small additional charge) or at the common lounge area of the Abbazia de luxe or you can have it, with pigeons :), in the beautiful garden of Hotel Abbazia (See Photos), which is adjacent to Abbaza de luxe. Our suggestion is to have your breakfast in the garden where you can relax and sit for a while afterwords! The breakfast menu is quite good!

Rooms
We got the biggest suite in the hotel which had wonderful design a separate bath tub (outside of the bathroom). There were two TVs: one across the bed, another across the sofa on the other side. Bed was very comfortable. Rooms were cleaned daily!

In short, if you plan to make your visit to Venice memorable, surprise your loved one, and you are willing to pay an average price, then Abbazia de luxe is your choice! Good luck!

very close to train station, good room, the greatest breakfast I had in Italy, bathroom is very large, the only thing I need to say , because here is a deluxe part of Abbazia,so not always have staff in the reception. But if you make a phone call in the room ,they can slove the problem immediately.
