“Great Location”
Reviewed 27 September 2012

Just returned from a great week in Venice - stayed in the apartment on the first floor - very clean - desk only manned from 2 til 6pm but very helpful - breakfast basic, but plenty of shops nearby to supplement this. Great location - 5 minutes walk from the waterfront and 15 from St Marks' Square - plenty of good restaurants and bars nearby. Would definitely come back and would recommend this B & B to anyone wanting reasonably priced accomodation near the heart of Venice.

Room Tip: The apartment didn't overlook the canal.

This B&B is in a great location - very close to the main strip along the Venetian lagoon. When walking from the B&B backs towards the main strip, when you reach Salizada S.Antonin street, if you turn to the left, there is a nice coffee shop at the end of the road on the right-hand side. I don't remember the name, but we enjoyed going there each morning. The B&B does provide a reasonable breakfast of bread, jams, coffee, and juice. The room in which we stayed overlooked a canal, which was nice. And the room had a living room area, and a bedroom so there was more space than we expected. I would stay here again.

I stayed here last week. Great place and a fantastic location ,if you are looking for a quiet place, but still very central. Clean and comfortable room. We had our windows overlooking the quiet canal. You could stand there and see the everyday world go by! The breakfast was basic but the ground coffee was more then welcome! Sasha was helpful. The AC was a welcome surprise as it was really very hot. Just about ten minutes to San Marco on. When i return to venice i look forward to stay there again.

This was our 5th time in Venice and the 1st time we decided to go the B&B route. It was clean and comfortable and priced right. The room we had was on the a canal and was a perfect setting. The breakfast was very basic and for us it will always be memorable as my wife and I were having breakfast when the 2nd earthquake struck in N Italy. It was a 5.8 and centered an hours N of us. It was our 1st time and pretty scary.

Its no 5 star, but for us was comfortable and ok for our needs. Or bedroom was large and comfortable. The negatives were we had 2 single beds pushed together and the TV had one channel - Salsa Dancing, but we were not in Venice to watch TV so it did not bother us to o much.
The building its self is awesome and very Venetian and would stay there again.

Stayed at Querini San Marco in May and found it to be clean and comfortable in a great location. The breakfast was simple fare of packaged foods but was enough for us, and if needed we just asked for more. Sasha was always helpful and also stored our luggage until we were ready to leave Venice late in the day. It was also relaxing sitting in the small garden.

My husband, myself and another couple stayed here in June/July 2011 for 3 nights. We chose Ca' Querini San Marco B&B as it was well priced and well located. We booked through email and it was hassle free, they even kindly changed the dates for us without charging extra. We were sent detailed instructions on how to get to the the B&B which proved effortless upon arrival.
We were overwhelmed with the grandeur of the courtyard when we walked in. It gave us a feeling as though we had stumbled upon a hidden gem away from the fast pace of the tourist hotspots. We entered the small office in which the man was very helpful and spoke good English. He gave us our room keys and led us to our rooms. The rooms were perfectly clean and well presented. Of course it was not 5 star accommodation, as you are not paying for that luxury, but we were pleasantly comfortable with the room and space. My husband and I stayed in Studio 4 which had it's own balcony looking over a small canal. In the mornings I would stand there with a hot drink in hand feeling as though I was a local. Breakfast is supplied in the room for your entire stay. It consists of dried toast slices with an assortment of condiments including the ever popular nutella. There is ground coffee for the stove top espresso maker as well as juice and tea and milk. I did not expect there to be as much on offer and could not eat it all by the time we were due to leave. There are many restaurants, bakeries, fresh fruit shops and convenient stores around the area, so you can easily access fresh food.
The ceilings are very high, so after experiencing some tiny, but luxurious rooms in other European countries the space was a welcome relief.
The bathroom was okay, a little dark and well used, but the tall double windows in the studio room made up for the darkness of the small bathroom. I used my lantern torch in the bathroom as well as the light. It was very clean however.
We had a picnic dinner in the beautiful courtyard one night and I will always look back fondly on that night. Overall I would definitely recommend this B&B If you are wanting to stay somewhere convenient, simple, quiet and economical.

Room Tip: Ask for Studio 4 if you want your own private balcony.
