We wanted to experience the tapas district off the Rialto Market. We stumbled on Ai Storti only later to find it written up in Rick Steves'. This was a totally new experience for us as we ordered the cicchetti seafood platter. I must admit there were some strange--to me--items on the plate ranging from marinated octopus and squid, sautéed sardines in onion and tomato, shrimp with heads, fried fish, and more. I ate it all much to my surprise. It was an adventure. Another in our party had the fried cicchetti but wasn't so pleased with it. It mainly was battered vegetables and such.
