This restaurant has had mixed reviews, so we thought we should test the service and food first hand.

Just the two of us, at the end of a wet and stomy day in Venice, but by 7pm the weather had cleared so we were able to choose a table outside overlooking the canal.

We asked for the "Tourist Menu" (Oh no. Did I really do that?) which consisted of a vegetable soup which was outstanding with fresh vegetables and very tasty. Then came the calamari for me and the chicken for my wife. Both well prepared and enjoyable without being "amazing". We also had a salad and roasted potatoes plus a half bottle of very acceptable wine plus sparkling water.

The service was attentive without being overly friendly, and the cost was €50.00 for the two of us.

Sitting beside the canal and enjoying this meal was a nice way to finish a wet, yet enjoyable, day.

I wouldn't rave about this restaurant, but overall we thought it represented good value for what is normally a very expensive city.

Second trip to Venice and second trip to this restaurant. Lovely location, good service, excellent wine selection. I love their pesto sauce and the portions are large enough to take some home for lunch the next day.

We ate here this evening, choosing to be close to the apartment for once. We specifically asked about fish before going in, as they advertise themselves as a pizza and pasta place. We ate sea Bream and Bass. Both sizeable fish, beautifully cooked and served with a selection of vegetables. This was advertised as 'insalata' but hot vege was an option they were happy to offer. 25Euro per plate is very average in Venice. A bottle of water and a half litre carafe of very good house white wine. Lemon tart to follow, and coffee. We were brought thin pizza base with tomato as a free addition to the usual horrid bread, and an extra (unneeded) pudding plus coffee. Total for three was 128euros and we reckoned that was very fair compared to other evening meals we have had here.
Outside seating but covered and tented in, as the day was a little cool. Very congenial, seated close to others, so not a place for a romantic evening.

We fell into this place to get out of the rain. My girlfriend is gluten free and boy were we both disappointed. We ordered roast chicken for her and just one wing arrived, greasy and with no presentation. Honestly avoid this place like the plague- it looks lovely from the outside, but is truly terrible,

This restaurant is in a great location and the food is great value. Paid €31 for lunch for the two of us. Service was great and food tasted good. Not sure why other reviews are so bad.
