“best place to enjoy Venise”
5 of 5 bubbles Reviewed 30 August 2013

close to the main station and st. marco, yet away from the crowds. its location at St Stae vapporato station makes it an ideal location... very interesting jewels nearby, and you can experience walking around, crossing rialto bridge and getting to st marc square. the staff is very friendly and helpful. they even send you to the best restaurants in town where u can have real bargains. will visit it again, as promised.

Room Tip: no need to ask for the channel view... as nobody stays in his room in Venice

I booked this hotel as a surprise break for my other half as I had planned to propose to her in Venice. I'm really glad I chose this hotel as it was ideal for exploring Venice because it is situated right on the grand canal and a 2 minute walk from the water taxi stop. Walking to and from the the main attractions without using the water services is do-able but if you decide to stay here I would recommend getting a pass for the water taxis to cover the duration of your stay - everything becomes much more accessible by doing so.

The breakfast was continental and was very average to be honest. There were bacon and eggs as well as a small selection of breads and jams etc but on the whole, there was little variety and it was fairly basic but adequate to set you up for the day.

The rooms are very nice with modern decor and really nice but quite small bathrooms. The bed was very comfortable - perfect after a day walking round the streets of Venice.

On the whole, I would definitely recommend this hotel!

Room Tip: We had a top floor room and whilst it was fairly small, there was ample space for luggage etc and it...

This is a review long due...traveled in August, 2012 with my wife during our Euro Trip. Looks like the staff couldn't stomach the presence of Indians in the property and did face prejudice while being served breakfast. The attitude of the BF waitress is matronly and we were having difficulty comprehending the Italian English. Her tone wqs defnitely not welcome and apart from the location, nothing else was welcome in this property. It is near the water-bus station and bang on the Grand Canal and as is the case with Venice, every place can be covered by foot. Had better stay at other places in Europe.

Room was nice and earthy, had a log-cabin feel.

We are very sorry to have a feed back of your stay in our hotel so severe, with an accusation of racism on the part of our staff, which, however, comes a year after your stay.
We would have liked from you a direct feed back of the incident or at the time of his departure, so we could possibly correct your negative feelings about our staff.
We are really surprised by your judgment, Venice is an international city in which we welcome every year thousands of people of all different nationalities and certainly none of us have preconceptions about race or religion, our own staff is multi-ethnic and never, I never say, there were no problems or suspicious attitudes. We would love to better understand where does a judgment so serious, if you could write in private, if you have a memory of what happened, exactly who or what attitude were wrong with you or the sentence was addressed in order to deepen the thing anyway.

I booked this hotel as it had a special deal. Although the room was classified as a disabled room, I thought that it would be a fairly large room (18sqm smaller than standard room) to cater for a wheelchair and anyone who has difficulty in walking.
The room was nicely decorated, but you couldn't class it as a disabled room. You certainly couldn't get a wheelchair in the room. The classification they gave to when asked, was a walk in shower and handles to assist in the bathroom.
that was it!
The bed had a very firm mattress, which gave me a bad back.
Staff are friendly, but few and far between.
Breakfast which was included in the price consisted of:
Scrambled eggs, bacon (cold) bread, jam, croissant, cheese, ham and a few other things like 3/4 cereals.
Overall for a 4 star hotel it was disappointing and no where like the previous hotel we stayed in Venice.

My husband and I stayed at this Hotel for two nights at the end of July. The location of the hotel was very good with a water bus stop right beside the hotel we found it very easy to get around. We stayed in a room with a canal view which I enjoyed and I thought was very pretty. I found the breakfast a little disappointing I am not at all a fussy eater but I found the selection of fruit, cereal and the lack of fresh bread disappointing considering we paid nearly €500.00 for two nights. Also we were charged €4.50 for a bottle of water in the bar which I felt was a little excessive.

The Hotel was really very good all in all! The entrance was well designed, the room were better than expected, the breakfast was very delicious, and the staff were helpful and guiding us to the best places. we booked the gondola from the hotel which was very good. Also they offered Murano tour free of charge. the Hotel was next the San Stae water bus station so it was easy to go from and back to it.

This is a beautiful hotel (converted from a Doges palace original). Room was nice...bathroom really nice with an amazing rain shower head,...now to the service,,...some of the front desk staff are very friendly and helpful...the gentleman who brought me to my room was unbelievably bad...just a terrible way to be introduced to your hotel.
The breakfast staff is mediocre at best...Sunday morning the waitress showed up 20 min late...most other mornings she was there but not at all attentive until she was done her setup.
So...to the mgmt....you have a really nice hotel in a great location....just upgrade a few of your staff

Room Tip: Rooms overlooking the courtyard are lovely..we had a terrace..beautiful windows that opened on the t...
