If you are after old world charm in Venice go no further. Michelle is amazing, most helpful and obliging.
The location is great for the water taxi, numerous restaurants and close to the rail & bus station.
Our room was more than adequate and certainly made our first visit to Venice a most enjoyable experince.

What we were looking for:

A nice apartment style accommodation in Venice, not too far from the train station, spacious with a view of a canal. Somewhere we did not have to rely on a water taxi.

General location:

A short walk from the train station and Piazzale Roma

Cleanliness:

Very clean. Top marks.

The Rooms:

We stayed in the Tiziano apartment. The residence is in a very old mansion decorated in true Venetian style. Our room had a master bedroom up a set of stairs. It had a lot of old Venice character. We had a kitchenette, a full formal dining room with chandeliers, full living room with several sofas, old paintings, lush draperies and large windows which opened to overlook a canal. The ceiling was probably 18 feet high. We loved the decor and feel, which was not unlike an old Hollywood scary mansion. We loved it.

Sleep and bed comfort:
Bed had very good comfort. The hide-a-bed could use a replacement, but that would interfere with the antique decor. We supplemented it with sofa cushions.
Pillows..... 4 out of 5.

Amenities:
Wifi was very good. The Residence does not offer many services which is fine, we didn’t really require any. A binder full of local information is available in the room. Our room was an apartment with small fridge, glassware and hotplate. We did require an iron and ironing board. Unfortunately they did not have those items available.

Food and Drink:
None on site, but coffee bars, pastry shops and restaurants are all steps away.

The Staff:

The proprietor Michele, was available and on hand daytimes during specified hours. He was very helpful with our luggage, as the residence has many stairs. He was very helpful before arrival through email as well.

The Crowd:

Couples & families.

The Vibe:

Behind the massive solid doors, is this authentic Venetian palace from the 1500’s, complete with antique paintings of the original owners and Venice. At night, they light the entrance way, stairways and courtyard with candles. It is quite beautiful.

Pros:

We really liked this apartment. It has a lot of character and it very authentic. It was like being in an elegant old mansion. The location is awesome unless you need to be on the Grande Canal. Being on the Grande was of little importance to us. For accessibility to transportation, dining, shopping or just wandering the pedestrian streets of Venice, it was perfect.

Cons:
The toilet seat was broken. In fairness, I only mentioned this item upon our departure. If we had been staying longer I would have mentioned it earlier, and I have no doubt that it would have been promptly rectified. It would have been nice to have a stand up shower, but this is an old mansion and the handheld in the massive Jacuzzi tub worked just fine.

Suggestions:
Have an iron & ironing board available upon request for guests.

Summary
:
An authentic, 1500's palace/mansion loaded with character in an easy location in wonderful Venice.

Stayed overnight @ Residence Palazzo Odoni during a short family vacation in Italy.

We booked a room for 5 (adults) and had nothing to say about the stay:

- The room was well appointed with a small kitchen / Big Bathroom with Jacuzzi
- Beds were comfortable
- The Room was clean
- Check-in / Check-out were very smooth and handled by the owner directly.
- WIFI Connection was fast
- The hotel is ideally located @ walking distance [10-15min] to the train station. Porters can be hired to help luggage.
- The breakfast was not included in our package (as advised during the booking) but there are lot of nearby restaurants and Coffee shops.
- Excellent value for money
- Highly Recommended

We stayed here for 3 nights with our two boys aged 10 & 12. It was an ideal location, close to the train station and out of the bustle of the heavily populated tourist areas. Good facilties for self catering and it was lovely staying in a historic building. A major supermarket is located nearby as well as a laundromat a couple of blocks away. Good local restaurants. A good value for money place to stay.

I traveled with my wife and two kids aged 6 and 14. Our room was a large 2 story apartment. Michele (owner) and his wife were welcoming and helpful. The rooms are large and have a small kitchen and refrigerator. The rooms were very clean.
The taxi stand, train station, bus depot and water buses are all within easy walking distance. ATM's and a grocery store are also very close by. St. Marks and Rialto Bridge are pretty far away from this accommodation. Most visitors to Venice are just there for the day, so staying here makes Venice yours for the night. No crowds after about 17:00.
Be warned that some of the TV programs shown late at night feature hardcore porn. No fault of of the owners of the property, but don't leave the kids unsupervised at night with the TV remote!

Room Tip: Our room faced the canal and sunlight poured in, as there are only sheer curtains. This was not good...

My daughter and I spent three nights here last week. It is a wonderful hotel with lovely rooms, ours had a great bathroom with a jacuzzi tub, and it is very convenient for accessing the vaporetti (boat buses) and the bus station. We loved our stay and would certainly go back. I gave four stars instead of five because before booking you should know that there are three flights of steep stairs to enter the hotel that could make access near impossible for anyone with mobility problems. I have a bad knee, but managed them, slowly but with no problems, The hotel breakfast was very good.

We stayed here for 2 nights in April, the apartment was spacious and quiet with a small kitchen. They help you with your bags up those stairs which is appreciated and they give you a map and recommendations for restaurants etc. My only complaint is that we had a late flight out and while they were happy to mind our luggage until we were ready to leave, they wouldn't let me use their toilet and we had to go to a local cafe to use theirs, they used the excuse that we would need to use an apartment toilet and none were available, well they must have staff toilets and I thought that was quite rude.
